From the fan to the famous Lebron James’ decision to go with the Miami Heat has sparked an outcry that has bordered the lines of ridiculous! The actions of many resemble those belonging to an owner of slaves! This “slave /master” mentally is disgusting considering the circumstances, what everyone is forgetting—this begins with the playing of a game. Men and women being paid to play a child’s game. This is not to end world hunger, or lower unemployment, bring world peace, no— this will provide entertainment for those whose fantasies surround these athletes and their abilities.

What makes this story a travesty is the behavior of players—active and retired, the recent “Magic Johnson” one who should be the last to judge the actions of a fellow player or anyone, but that is another story, Mr. Michael “Air” Jordan, Charles Barkley and others all forget the caliber this young man has portrayed, pursued for his ability since age 14 and has managed to remain unscathed by the lifestyle and riches thrust upon him at such an early age. How many can say this, I’m asking… Mr. Johnson!

Lebron James is a man making a choice provided him by free agency and God given right, you know, “free will”. Lebron James has played for years with the Cleveland Cavilers they want to believe they gave him his start, which is ludicrous, because every other team in this league and many overseas, would have gladly done the same. The time spent in Cleveland was like a man beating his head against a wall and anyone that would say they would have done any different than Mr. James (leaving Cleveland) is either a liar or fool. If Lebron James had not given his all I might have a little empathy for the fans. But the actions of most--with their "me mentality is appalling", shameful at best.

This amazing man and athlete is an active provider to charities, giving millions of dollars to the needy, and a role model to even more, this should be most important!The behavior of certain individuals stink at many levels. If you thought his hour long advertising of his decision was ridiculous and too long, you shouldn't’t have watched it, I didn't. If you no longer care for Mr. James because of his choice, don’t cheer for him. This is all about choices, now it’s your turn to choose.

It's Time To Stop The Madness!

Radio commentator and unofficial voice for the republican party, Rush Limbaugh, has reached into the sewage that he calls a soul and spewed a sickness that for him reaches an indisputable low! By suggesting that Pres. Obama’s immediate response to the overwhelming earthquake unleashed upon the Haitian people was but a political ploy-- is as absolutely ridiculous as it is appalling! Pres. Obama is but one of many world leaders that opened their hearts to the desperate outcry from Haiti. This aid will be given to members of a country which before this travesty was already those of the poorest country in the western hemisphere and one of the poorest on earth. Of the third world countries, it would not be a member, they should be considered to posses "fourth world status" and for this to happen, must have these people thinking they have unwillingly signed a life long lease to a "hell on earth!"

Limbaugh commented on air,

"This will play right into Obama's hands. He's humanitarian, compassionate. They'll use this to burnish their, shall we say, "credibility" with the black community -- in the both light-skinned and dark-skinned black community in this country. It's made-to-order for them. That's why he couldn't wait to get out there, could not wait to get out there."

"Now, I want you to remember, it took him three days to respond to the Christmas Day Fruit of Kaboom Bomber, three days. And when he came out after those three days, he was clearly irritated that he had to do it. He didn't want to do it. He comes out here in less than 24 hours to speak about Haiti”.

This statement is as heartless as it is ludicrous! And as difficult as it is to give arena to this madness--it is done to make a stand--these senseless attacks against humanity must stop! This man and others like him all answer to corporate sponsoring. We as consumers are the fuel for these companies. Protest these corporations--express your animosity-- threaten to and stop using their products until they take action by terminating this Limbaugh. He is a sickness and we are the cure. In my next article I will have a list of all corporations affiliated with him with their email addresses and details to multiple petitions.

Write these companies…the time for talking is over, now is the time to act! Having ill will for this insanity is not enough. Now is the time to vocalize--telling this man and others like him that their ways are outdated and will not be tolerated! I have made it my mission in life to stop this man, what are you going to do about him?

Communicating with Tolerance

I am currently writing two novels at once and to assure quality work I will take a week break from both, during these intermissions I will post articles on sites were I freelance. Because of my standards I am often subject to writer's block. While searching for a topic I remembered a response sent to me for an article I posted on (04-17-08) entitled, "The Truth About The Black Panther Party." This was an article created while suffering from writer's block, it has become my most read article and the first to be syndicated. It has also received the most reviews which are extremely mixed and being a firm believer in the right to opinion, I post the negative reviews with the positive. On (11-28-09) that reader felt compelled to submit this critic:

"I find this whole ordeal of black persecution extremely hilarious.
P.S. White Power"

I guess this comment was sent hoping to elicit a negative response or to possibly anger me and my readers. For me it has done neither because I am honored to have anyone read my material and if I didn't have a block I wouldn't even be writing about it. Matter of fact on the day I read the statement I was having a bad day, but after reader that foolishness I found myself laughing out loud and with my shirt, frantically cleaning orange juice off of my monitor.

Rhetorically speaking--how does an individual co-exist in a socially evolving world with this kind of backwards thinking? I find it saddening for an individual to live in a world, that has so much happiness to offer, filled with so much animosity. I not saying that anyone that does not agree with me is wrong. I just believe that people can disagree without being disagreeable. And with each day this hate mongering fraternity, whose membership include those of every race and culture, are becoming extinct.

This dying breed born from a turbulent past, has so many names that it is difficult to know them all. If they are black, they referred to as "reverse racist"( which is a oxymoron) because a reverse racist is a person that is not a racist. Then you have "anti-Semites", or "homophobes", "racial separatist", "bigots", and on and on. I have grouped them with the name I have created-- I call them "Homo-Ignorus".

This mindset has run the course of the prehistoric man-- their number for selective extermination has been called. And when they are but a memory in history books or the internet-- this planet will have taken another giant leap for mankind.

A highly intelligent group of concerned "Cyber geeks" have decided to punish the seemingly untouchable. For years they've focused their wrath upon the Goliath known as "The Church of Scientology". This lightning assault is a strategic upsetting of the apple cart using the internet as their weapon of choice. These calculated protests are enacted by a group called, "Anonymous" .The members are a society of high level computer hackers whose identity is known by no one...not even its members. With absolute anonymity, each member is solely responsible for their actions, and can not be held accountable for the ones of another. So if one is caught it is impossible to implicate the rest. Their discovery and capture will only create a martyr, equaling the removal one head that will be replaced by two--for the actions of each are supported by the whole. This is the fuel responsible for a worldwide expansion. Even at public rallies every member adorns a mask and encouraged to use public transportation in order to conceal their names.

The initial attacks upon the church were not taken seriously, jokingly called, "the acts of a loser who probably lives in their parents basements!". This arrogance was soured when the volley of punishment was unleashed by these "losers". Scientology has had their internet advertisements immediately defaced or rendered useless, received a real-time barrage of blank faxes, computers swamped with spam and their phone lines with computer generated calls--this joke has become no laughing matter. That's when Anonymous "came out", announcing their intentions to the world. Using untraceable videos they struck a chord that rang with the sound of justice. Being an intimidating powerhouse, The Church of Scientology has not experienced or was prepared for this onslaught even though their policies and practices have existed under scrutiny for decades.

This cult was founded by failed science fiction writer, L.Ron Hubbard, who authored "Dianetics", which he claimed to be a groundbreaking self-help book. It was released in May 1950 to very harsh and mixed reviews. It was criticized for unscientific aspects. Veteran author Jack Williamson described Dianetics as, "a lunatic revision of 'Freudian psychology' that had the look of a wonderfully rewarding scam."

With all of his flaws and unscrupulous behavior, Hubbard managed to erect the institution we now know. This church has been indicted and punished for crimes against its own,and is still allowed more yearly tax exemptions than any other. But there are a few that plan to hold them accountable-- and they are Anonymous!

"Steele A Fool!"

Where do they grow idiots like Micheal Steele? There has to be a farm that produces men like him because it takes cultivation to produce an individual of his social ignorance! Almost every time this man addresses the public with his outrageous political ideologies, I find myself rubbing a wrenched forehead to the tune of a racing heart, while in a state of absolute awe, thinking…WTF! It is obvious that he is nothing more than the GOP’s black face– because of a black president. If you were to look up the word ‘token‘ in a dictionary his photo would be there…smiling.Like Gov. Palin, the GOP assumed the world would be gullible enough to believe these individuals were qualified for their appointments, but they were only able to convince two with this mockery–Palin and Steele.

Mr. Steele has proven to be, the spawn of an American ‘House Negro‘, garnishing a leash slightly longer than the other misinformed.His behavior resembles a man who would claim, “I am not a puppet,I’m a real boy!”.It is crystal clear that a Republican National Chairman… he is not! ‘Poster Boy ‘would be a more accurate title. Now there are some admirable people of African descent in the Republican party–Gen. Colin Powell, Lynn Swann,Condaleeza Rice and Gubernatorial candidate Ken Blackwell,to name a few.

This post was not meant to serve as an assault upon anyone’s freedom of expression, or political affiliation, but when a person of sound mind and reasonable intelligence, allows himself to be used as a racial pawn– in a chess game of social stereotypes, I am repulsed! The latest offense came in the form of a blog designed to attract minorities to the Republican Party. The blog was named:”What Up?”…WTF!!!? After overwhelming outrage and ridicule, the RNC changed the name of this offensive blog to ‘Change the Game,’ which only added insult to injury. The ‘Grand Ole Party‘ has become just that…an ‘Old Party‘ whose members posses fleeting moments of grandeur.

Increasingly displaying either an elitist or combative mentality has labeled them as, ‘The Party of No‘ which is truly an understatement. They have proudly become the party of no:sense,sympathy,empathy,class,respect,dignity or clue!

Sarah Palin's Clownish And Corrupted Behavior

Ever since Gov. Palin first opened her mouth in the ‘big show’ of American politics she has undoubtedly been the self caricaturing gift, that keeps on giving.The media would find it difficult creating a ‘political play toy’ that equals the exploits of Sarah Palin–she’s a walking punchline. Watching her interviews with Charlie Gibson and Katie Couric were so disturbing I actually felt sorry for her. With each question you could almost hear the crickets chirping in the void of her political knowledge. Still shaken from the previous questions, she was unable to answer the simple inquiry, “What magazines do you like to read when you are at home?”, having been coached by political strategists the night before with possible questions and responses was obviously so overwhelming that this innocent exploration of her daily life was so far out in left field that she blew a fuse, causing her brain to revert to default mode only allowing information which came with the system. So she proceeded with a ‘runner-up beauty pageant’ response, similar to the one given in the Charlie Gibson interview when asked for her opinion of the ‘Bush Doctrine’.

If the way she lives and the things she’s said were not serious they would be hysterically funny.Quoting a CNN journalist,”All Sarah Palin needs now is a red rubber nose and a pair of big exploding shoes!”. If it were only this simple–labeling her as a sideshow entertainer in a twisted political circus.What this woman has displayed with the moves she makes and breaths she takes, are becoming less humorous, entering the realm of dangerous! This assessment was given after her latest insinuation, slandering Pres.Obama’s plan for health care reform, claiming it would include euthanasia of the elderly and children that are of special needs, similar to her own that was born with down syndrome. Misinformation and lies only heighten the fear and anger already devouring the rational element owned by an ever growing mob of gullible individuals that are still finding it difficult to accept the reality of a president of African descendant, regardless of his Caucasian parentage.

Watching the rabbit displays of discontent at town hall meetings given by our government’s political representatives, offer a chilling reminder of this country’s shameful past and unstable present. A televised coverage of these epitaphs, inscribed on the tomb of this country’s racial discord are the events instigated by another famous, or infamous, Governor–George Wallace. Gov.Wallace was extremely animate concerning desegregating of the state of Alabama, claiming “Pres.John F. Kennedy wants to surrender this state to Martin Luther King and his group of pro-communists who have instituted these demonstrations!”…sound familiar?

Whenever the ignorance of the socially challenged few, which include ex-Gov. Palin whose quitting nature is now a part of the Urban Dictionary(Pulling a Palin), meet in their hate constructed clubhouse it seems as if the number one agenda for each gathering is– undermining the presidency of a man who has received more popular votes than any other president. Pres. Obama is loved all over the world, his nomination and confirmation as leader of the U.S.A was watched and celebrated in the homes, restaurants, bars, streets, churches and other places for gathering in every major country except two–Russia and N.Korea.

If people like Ms.Palin, Lou Dobbs, Bill O’Reilly, Glenn Beck and the many other possessors of political and economic power continue their twisted pursuit of dissemination, they may trigger an explosion which will be unimaginable and uncontrollable. This form of social terrorism will be more damaging and pleasurable to the Al Qeada than any attack of theirs, because it will have been self-induced and to them considered, well deserved social implosion.

If we do not gather as a nation and deter this pond scum, from our disturbing past, they will drag us down with them. These social separatist are programed to knock us three steps back, for every two we take in the opposite direction.

Crazy Like A Foxx!

During a debate on the floor of the House of Representatives, Congresswoman Virginia Foxx made a statement so appalling it has caused an outcry worldwide! She gave the U.S.A just more proof that the republican party has little on the menu concerning affairs for social or economic reform. She debased the memory of an innocent victim killed in a hate crime.

Mathew Shepard was a 22yr. young man singled out and murdered by two men for his sexuality. He was lured from a bar by one and pistol whipped, stabbed, beat, burned and attached to a barbed wire fence were he was left to die. He remained there in agonizing pain for 18 hours before being discovered by a biker.Mathew died five days later in the intensive care of Poudre Valley Hospital.

The assailants,Henderson and Mckinney, were not charged for hate crimes--at this time the legislation did not exist. Mathew Shepard’s parents,Judy and Dennis, fought tirelessly for a bill which would acknowledged these assaults as a hate crime.

On March 20th,2007 The Mathew Sheppard act was introduced to the U.S Congress by Dem.John Conyers and passed in The House of Representatives on May 3rd,that same year. Other legislation similar to this one passed on September 7th,2007-- which President Bush claimed he would veto if it reached his desk.

Yesterday on the House floor Rep. Virginia Foxx debated the expansion of the hate crimes legislation by saying:

"I also would like to point out that there was a bill -- the hate crimes bill that's called the Matthew Shepard bill is named after a very unfortunate incident that happened where a young man was killed, but we know that that young man was killed in the commitment of a robbery. It wasn't because he was gay. This -- the bill was named for him, hate crimes bill was named for him, but it's really a hoax that continues to be used as an excuse for passing these bills,"

Well...the torches are lit and the villagers are angry!These remarks have offended people worldwide!Americans immediately began protests demanding this woman’s apology or resignation! The congresswoman’s office was flooded with e-mails and phone calls from people expressing their anger. So in a statement which increased the insult to injury, instead of a full apology she remarked,

"The term 'hoax' was a poor choice of words used in the discussion of the hate-crimes bill,Mr. Shepard's death was nothing less than a tragedy, and those responsible for his death certainly deserved the punishment they received."

It was more than a “poor” choice of words, it was a horrific choice!

A hate crime is more than an assault against homosexuality it is profiling meant to suppress and terrorize race,sexuality,religion, or social group. And today being my birthday all I ask is for a sincere apology or resignation from Congresswoman Virginia Foxx!

Jamaica...the land that is known for its beautiful beaches, laid back mentality,and advertises a wonderful love of life has forgotten to mention that it is one of the most homophobic places in the world! Under Jamaican law homosexuality is punishable by ten years of hard labor. While an adult male sexually assaulting a teenage girl only warrants seven. There’s something very wrong with this picture! Why should the lifestyles of two consenting individuals and what they do in the privacy of their own homes concern another? Living in Jamaica as a GLBT (Gay,Lesbian,Bi-Sexual,or Transgendered)has been compared to living in Afghanistan under the rule of the Taliban! There are vigilante groups combing the streets with automatic weapons killing without remorse, having no solid proof of their victims sexuality--exacting a “Sexual Salem Witch Hunt”!

In the U.S. the GLBT of San Francisco has launched a boycott of Jamaican tourism and products. This protest starting in San Francisco have worked there way to New York City. This grassroots protests though well intentioned, were not sanctioned by J-FLAG (Jamaican Forum for All Sexual and Gays) are considered to be causing more harm than good. These protests are thought to single out certain corporations such as Red Stripe Beer. This company in 2008 took a bold step by denouncing homophobic behavior and pulled sponsorship from those who violated the rights of GLBT.

It has been stated by a J-FLAG representative, “We believe that any overseas entity or organization seeking to agitate for change in a context with which it has only passing familiarity should first do its homework to ensure that it does not do harm ... to the cause of the local community whose interest it seeks to defend,” But it is believed by many from other countries, that if economy pressure is not enforced, this unjust and inhuman behavior will continue. The GLBT are not asking much from the Jamaican government. Their only demands are:

1.For Jamaican officials to publicly commit to the ending of gay bashing on the island and improving the human rights situation.

2.A statement from the Prime Minister clearly and unequivocally condemning violence against GLBT people and expressing regret for past violence.

As a heterosexual male I am just an outsider looking in. I can empathize with both sides of the GLBT movements. The non-Jamaicans see a horrible injustice that they wish to end. Were the Jamaican citizen believe these well intentioned acts are just adding fuel to the fire. I believe that homophobia is a horrible sickness if not treated will spread like any other disease. In my opinion wide scale boycotts are not always the answer because they also harm the innocent. Knowledge is the best weapon. I have known and love many Gays,Lesbians,and Bi-Sexual--now after learning of the horror being inflicted upon these people in Jamaica, until there is a change I will never set foot, or endorse this place in any way!

“President-elect Barack Obama did not throw the LGBT community under the bus, as many have suggested since the selection of Rev.Rick Warren to deliver the invocation was made public. On the contrary, he just politely asked us to take a seat in the back, which really should come as little surprise given that we've been here before on his agenda.” -Gaywiredcom-

The announcement of Warren's future role in Obama's candidacy definitely has the resemblance of John McCain’s introduction of Sara Palin all over it. That debacle was always apparent to those with even a reasonable amount of intelligence, that McCain's actions were done out of desperation. His actions proved to be the transformation of Gov. Palin,into a willing pawn, and a dream come true for talk show hosts, political analysts, and comics worldwide. Sen. McCain's decision has earned the title of-- possibly the greatest political hale Mary ever thrown. But Obama’s choice is as questionable as it is disturbing.

To invite a notoriously homophobic reverend to participate in probably the most awaited political ceremony in the history of modern society, is being considered as a deliberate slap in the face to many. This act has been viewed as a betrayal by many and will not easily be forgotten. There are 6 million Lesbian, Gay, Bi-Sexual, and Transgendered individuals (LGBT), that loyally promoted the Obama campaign from the very beginning. These faithful campaigners were always there as; fundraisers,volunteers, and financial donors when Pres.-elect Obama, was still a junior senator with a funny name, that few had heard of and most doubted would achieve what he has...so soon.

Pres. -elect Obama ran an inspirational campaign with promises of social equality. When confronted by the issue of same sex relations, he always made it clear that he disagreed with homosexuality, but extending his famed, "Disagreeing without being disagreeable" speech. This opinion was accepted by the LGBT community as being a sign of respect for an individual's chosen lifestyle.A sort of live and let mentality. This social belief was also promised by Clinton who eventually fell short of his promise. But this alliance of claimed, "Disagreeing without being disagreeable" with the famed homophobically disagreeable Rev.Warren is unacceptable. Allowing Rev.Rick Warren to deliver the invocation, is appearing to be yet another president, failing to be concerned with the (LGBT) community which assisted in the winning of his election.

The Association of Religion Data, polled clergy on their beliefs concerning same sex relationships. The largest percentage considered homosexuality as "always wrong" 1052 (53.0%),the second largest group considered this "not wrong at all" 624 (31.4%),the third largest believed this to be "sometimes wrong" 136 (6.8%) the fourth considered it as "almost always wrong" 96 (4.8%), and the smallest group "didn't know" 78 (3.9%)

Even though Rick Warren's opinion is the same as the largest group of clergy which agree, that homosexuality is absolutely unacceptable. He also has proven to be one of the most radically vocal on this topic. His comparisons are often insulting,malicious, and disturbingly ludicrous. And shortly after the announcement of this controversial appointment-- "conveniently hypocritical" was added to this resume. This new title was earned 24 hours after the LGBT outcry. It was announced that Rev.Warren’s offensive web page was doctored, missing many of the offensive accusations Rev.Warren has become famous for making and proudly defended.

There is one constant in presidential history and life in general-- no one president ,world leader, or anyone will be able to please everyone all of the time. As far as US leaders are concerned, President Obama faces a unique dilemma. It is believed that a few of his future legacies will be:

* He would play to African-Amer community.
* He would abandon the African-Amer community.
* He was too bi-partisan.
* He wasn't as bi-partisan as he promised.
* Lasting 4 to 8 yrs, he is about to become the rope for a worldwide match of tug of war.

President- elect Obama raised more money and received more popular votes than any president in US history. On January20th, 2009 when this man and his family accepts their place in history, he will become more than the United States of America’s first African-American president. He has already been offered the thrown of World Unifier. Sharing this moment with Rev. Rick Warren is a decision that many believe should be reconsidered.

Yesterday evening(09/10/08) Keith Olbermann, MSNBC journalist, held an individual and his blind followers socially accountable in a way that will not be soon forgotten! Republican presidential nominee, John McCain, and his loyal followers of the G.O.P , have fallen to a level of shameless behavior that has justified the increasingly low opinions and mistrust society has of politicians. It seems that once these individuals are elected they begin to forget that they have been allowed and entrusted, to be the caretakers of our unified best interests. A majority of the leaders in the leaders in the Republican party, behave nothing like leaders, instead they choose to portray the part of well organized opportunists, possessing a mafioso style mentality in their ruthless desire to remain in power. At the Republican party convention the leaders proved how low they could stoop, fueled by the roaring cheers from their socially blind followers! Keith Olbermann reminded the watchers of prime time news, what is expected from individuals with political power, and that being a politician is not an omnipotent right, it is a major responsibility. McCain — like the majority of the G.O.P., like to manipulate the his followers by preying on their fears. This is despicable behavior – truly unbecoming a leader. John McCain rants about how he can protect the U.S. from terrorist, which is an untruth, because he himself is a terrorist. He needs to read the definition of this word.The definition of a terrorist is: a person, usually a member of a group, who uses or advocates terrorism. a person who terrorizes or frightens others. pertaining to, or characteristic of terrorism or terrorists. Today is Semptember 11th, another day in American history that will always be one of infamy. But for the past seven years some have been using it as their own personal pawn. If this country is ever going to heal, this has to stop…and it has to stop now! The senseless loss of life should never be used as a tool for political or personal gain. If anything it should be the constant reminder of how precious life is, and how easily it can be destroyed.

"The Notorious N Word."

There has been an ongoing debate about the social correctness of the word "nigger", or the now popular pronunciation "nigga" . Some are justifying the popularized version as, a harmless term of endearment, or term acknowledgement justifiably used by a few. The fact that anyone is -- even having to question the use of this word or anyone's right to use it, is unbelievable.

It is well known that this word has ties to the slavery of Africans brought to the Americas. The word "Nigger", is a derivative of the Spanish/Portuguese word negro meaning black. John Rolfe the husband of Pocahontas, and the first known exporter of tobacco, describes the arriving slaves as "negars", later to become, "nigger" . For a long this word was just a description of those with dark skin. In the U.K. the word was often used to refer to those of Bangladeshi, Pakistani, Kashmiri, Indian or Sri Lankan descent. These people immediately took offense to this name.

In the Americas around the mid 1800s, this description of the African slave or their descendants, is when this word began to project its currant meaning. So in this age of "political correctness" if this word needs to be said, it is described as the "N" word. Ironically some have chosen not to allow this demoralizing word to go quietly into that good night. They have decided to slightly changed its spelling and pronunciation, then justifying the usage with a twisted right of passage.

On the television talk show "The View" two of its co-hosts of African descent (Whoopi Goldberg, Sherri Sheppard) defended their use of the slang term, "Nigga". Ms. Goldberg's justifying its use was so contradictory and ludicrous-- it was unbelievable. And what's so amazingly oximoronic, is that many of the people that use this word, justify their usage for many of the same reasons.

Fellow co-host (Elizabeth Hasselbeck) was so outraged by Ms. Goldberg's display of ignorance, that it drove her to tears. Her disapproval of this words use by any-- proclaiming we all live in the same world and that this word has no useful purpose, felt as if she was being mocked for her supposed inability to ever understand. Ms. Goldberg also made sure to remind her that we do not live in the same world. She was right about this because Ms. Goldberg is a citizen of the planet "Stupidia" , in the "United States of Hypocria" were the possibility of social reform is impossible.

She began explaining to Ms. Hasselbeck why she could never understand and her right to say this by stating, "my mother could not go and vote in the United States of America, the place of her birth, but you don't understand and I what you to, to understand the frustration that goes along with when you say we live in the same world...it isn't balanced and we would like it to be, you have to listen, you have to understand the fact that we are trying to tell you that there are issues, there are huge problems that you got to know if you want to know us....etc" . Is it just me that believes that had no justification for using the word "nigga"?

Many have made claims and jokingly stated that Ms. Hasselbeck's display of emotions were of over dramatized and whiny. But just fifty years ago it would be difficult to find another Caucasian woman or man, to display this level of concern for a person of African heritage, while co-hosting a nationally broadcasted television show.

Another contradiction to the popularized version of this word is that many people of African heritage that justify its usage, firmly appose any Caucasian to do the same. Believing that they have taken it away from the ones that used it negatively, and by doing so they now control its use. Being of African heritage, I consider that analogy as being dumb, for the sake of being dumb!

If someone were hitting me with bags of bile and society deemed this behavior as being politically incorrect. I am not going to start hitting myself with bile and justifying this action as me taking control of who craps on me!

Individuals that have chosen not to use this word--just forgetting about it are often called naive. That's also idiotic! If you have a bad dream, would you want to keep having it and remembering it every time you slept? Any sane individual would choose to forget about it.

If anyone believes that the harm from this word will be forgotten--it won't. That is why its use has been reduce to the letter "N". That in itself is admitting to an injustice. And if anyone is still concerned about the persecution of its creators--I'm pretty sure they're all dead.

The “Conspiracy Theory” - or what I like to call, ”The Cynic’s Bible“ has a flock of readers that is always growing. These individuals have definitely established a high ranking among the world’s constants. These worshipers seem to have a negative hypothesis to every unsettling event since man has walked the earth. It is almost as if these instigators of pessimism have discovered a euphoric form of Utopia from the ills of society.

Now I am not trying to imply that everything is perfect with the world, because there has been times when I too have doubted answers given - considering them to be questionable at best. I am also sure that many concerns expressed by these theorist were completely accurate. And depending on how this truth affects an individual is usually the deciding factor in the birthing of one man’s fact and another ones fiction. This gives way to fanatical rantings or beliefs concocted by individuals that are not satisfied with the truth.

If Conspiracy Theorist had a list of commandments, the would probably say:

1) Thou shalt not trust any government or its politicians.

2) Thou shalt not trust anyone that is considered to be monetarily rich, especially ones coming from old money.

3) Thou shalt not trust anything you read in history books.

4) Thou shalt not trust anyone form of news media.

5) Thou shalt not trust anyone that will not agree with everything you believe
to be true.

6) If a man made tragedy occurs on a large scale, the government is responsible.

7) There is always someone out to get you.

8) Most things that are too good to be true… usually are.

9) Nobody does something for nothing.

10) If a person has a chance to take advantage of you odds suggest they will.

I have to admit that these individuals (Conspiracy theorist) provide some service. They do make it harder for the corrupt to practice their trade. And when they catch someone in the act of perpetrating an ill against society or the planet, they do hold them accountable. 70% of Americans still believe the Kennedy assassinations were a conspiracy and if proven, many will have hell on earth to pay.

But all-in-all the conspired rantings and theories are bascally the opinions of another, and if even after ones theory of a topic is debunked, everyone has a right to one, if not used in a way that is slanderous or malicious in concept, it’s called ”Free Will & Freedom of Speech”. And when the world attempts to suppress the ideology of these individuals they have in essence - become worse than the theorist.

"Glorified Gluttony."

It seems like whenever I witness a wonderful example of human expression, shortly after, I encounter an act reminding me of how disgustingly thoughtless we can be.

While watching the evening news, one of its stories was the coverage of a hot dog eating contest. Why this was considered a pivoting human interest story escapes me. These events have always disgusted me. How can an individual honestly consider gluttonous indulgence a sport? Or participate in some hole in the wall restaurant's offer of a free meal, and an out of focus Polaroid picture of themselves placed on a wall of shame, for devouring a dangerously excessive amount of food. This shameful lack of self-control is not an act that should be rewarded or proud of, especially with there being so many lacking proper nourishment.

And what really agitates me is knowing that these events are corporate sponsored for little or no financial responsibility to its participants. These companies do this for free advertisement to the cheering spectators - which truthfully remind me of history's blood crazed fans cheering the roman gladiator. There are times in which I question who is worse - the mindless spectator, the instigating corporate sponsor, or the gluttonous participant.

What's so twisted is there are actually guidelines for this despicable behavior:

Consult your physician before the contest and get their advice. Make sure that you aren't on medication that shouldn't be taken with food. Check with contest officials or request that EMTs and an ambulance be present in the event of choking or allergic reactions.
Eat before the contest. Starving oneself is unhealthy for the body, so eat light meals up until the contest.
Try to exercise regularly before the contest
Prior to the contest, consume as few liquids (water, soda, alcoholic beverages, etc.) as possible. This will only fill the stomach, creating less room for food.
A relatively astute individual would realize that an activity that might require a doctor or an ambulance might be uhmmmm - DANGEROUS! Just an opinion - a persons need for nourishment should not be considered immediately hazardous.

To win an eating contest you need to stretch your stomach to fit more food in it more easily. The best way to stretch your stomach is to eat lettuce. It is mostly water and takes more calories to digest than it carries, so all it really does is stretch the stomach. In time, it's possible to eat three to four heads of lettuce in one sitting.
Also, boiled cabbage is equally good. Many professionals often go on a three or four day diet of nothing but cabbage as the gases in cabbage expand the stomach.
There is also a little-known technique to make more room in the stomach. After eating, when you begin to feel slightly full, stand up and wiggle your hips from side to side for 5-10 seconds. This makes the food go down your esophagus faster and squashes it up in your stomach.
There is a saying, "one should eat to live, not live to eat." Because we have seemed to have forgotten this, society's health has declined. This reckless eating behavior has contributed to a 64% rise in obesity, statistically attributing to diabetes by 48% , with a 58% rise in hepatitis b.

When are we going to realize that the - all you can eat buffets, and the super sized meals, along with the 30 minutes or it's free deliveries, is playing a part in the deaths of 400,000 individuals each year. Maybe it's time we open our eyes more - instead of our mouths.

To Be Romantically In Love: this man's opinion.

Romantic love is often considered to exist when two people accept the concept of being more than just friends, consensually sharing themselves passionately - mind and body. This is a goal many have acquired and most desire. Everyone being unique there is no one true formula for obtaining this gift, but this is just this man’s opinion.

True love is not something that can be taken, it has to be given freely. When not done truly or freely it is but an imitation of what could be, contrary to the metaphoric saying, “to steal someone’s heart away”. What is sad is some spend their entire lives never achieving this goal, later believing their pursuit to have been a waste of time. In this, I totally dis-agree. Reminding me of the saying by Alfred Lord Tennyson, ” ’tis better to have loved and lost - then to never have loved at all.” Strangely some find this to be questionable.

Many have and will confuse romance with lust. Lust being the inbred sexual desire assuring procreation - a trait every animal posses. Where romance is the endearing thought and action displayed in a controlled manor producing a pleasurable response. The ability to differentiate romance from mere lust is what makes this form of love special to many, and considered by cynics as a naive concept. Declaring the idea of romance without lust - an impossibility. Professing that visual and mental attraction, with the help of pheromones as the only key to this equation of mutual desire.

Romance is an entity which bares many faces. It can be ones best friend and another’s worst enemy. Ahab’s white whale or someone’s pot of gold at the end of their rainbow. What history has proven, most will try to acquire it, and many have died for or because of it.

There’s one thing I have found to be true, seeking romance can be as wonderful as obtaining it. Then again - that’s just one man’s opinion.

"I'm Taking Off The Gloves!"

There has been many thoughts I have wished to express but I have managed to contain myself, naively hoping all would see what the political race is and what it will become.

The Clinton and McCain camps, with the help of the media, have shamefully prostituted itself in ways that will become legendary! Sen. Clinton's behavior has always stunk from its clouded sense of omnipotence. It was this foolishly arrogant way of thinking that led to her spiraling downfall and may have permanently scarred her political career. This divisive self-implosion was not only unnecessary but unbecoming in every way. And her husband only added an exclamation to this audacious display of questionable behavior. Their daughter (Chelsea) has my deepest sympathy because she was genetically drafted into this sideshow. Never wavering always proving to be the class in that families act.

What truly amazes me are the legions of loyal followers that refuse to see this woman for what she is and capable of in desperation. This overly dogmatic pursuit for nomination has caused her to say and do things that would have kept Obama being elected to any office. These are just a few of the many atrocities committed by Mrs. Clinton:

When she claimed to have mis-spoken after questioning the relative importance of Dr. Martin Luther King in the civil rights movement.-(forgiven)
She makes the statement that the primaries of Michigan would not count (while 20pts. ahead) later going on a holy war for the acquiring of its delegates.-(forgiven).
Describes the upholding of the Florida ruling to slavery and the denying women the right to vote-(forgiven).
She makes a ludicrous claim to have had been subjected to the firing of bullets while visiting Bosnia, with her daughter being a part of her entourage. Later claiming to have mis-spoken, not lied, mis- spoken-(forgiven)
Later approving and participating in the now famous, "3 a.m. in the morning commercial", which later seemed to have questionable undertones.- (forgiven)
Her lax behavior towards the actions of supporter Geraldine Ferraro who stated," Obama would not still be in this race if he were a white man". -(forgiven)
Stating that some primary states should count and others should not.- (forgiven)
Then there's the photos of Osama Bin Laden in an anti-Obama add. -(forgiven)

The exploiting of rev. Jeremiah Wright to the editorial board of the Pittsburgh Tribune.- (forgiven)
Pres. Clinton's comparing rev.Jesse Jackson's campaign to Sen. Obama's.- (forgiven)
Constantly claiming multiple calls for her to resign from the race, in order to anger her supporters, knowing this was not true.- (forgiven)
Traitorously using McCain's age and experience as a tool to undermine Obama, not considering what this might do to the Democratic party - especially if she is not nominated.- (not forgiven)
Four time using the tragedy of Sen. Robert Kennedy's assassination as a justification for her continuance to run. First using the word assassination in print(Time magazine), second and third time just reminding us of the tragedy-obviously after being told by an adviser that this was a callous and un-wise course. Finally - actually using the word assassination during a videotaped interview. When faced with public cry of outrage, only expressed a quasi apologetic explanation to the Kennedys and American, never apologizing or verbally expressing remorse to Sen Obama or McCain - who just might see this as a tactlessly expressed reason to remain in the public eye-with a never say quit attitude. - (never should be forgotten or forgiven)
This last statement should be the last of the many self-place nails in her political coffin. Clinton and her supporters since the beginning of this race have dogmatically justified her nomination and winning of the presidency by playing the "gender card", always reminding what a positive influence to young women she would be. If I had daughters I would never use this woman as a character reference to what they could achieve. I would remove my tongue before promoting that cut throat-knee capping individual- Mrs. Clinton has displayed herself to be.

On June 3rd as I watched this woman give her disgraceful speech of denial, which should have undoubtedly proven to all her questionable character, I could not help but look into the eyes of her supporters, it sadly reminds me of how gullible people can be. But this was not the only thing that disturbed me. While staring into this crowd knowing that there is absolutely no way all of these people could have been fooled, it became clear that their pride was fueling this inability to admit they had chosen poorly - and that they would stand by this woman no matter what. This raises another issue.

Pres. John Fitzgerald Kennedy was also a first term junior senator who was labeled as "too young and inexperience"- to handle the responsibility of Commander and Chief. He turned out to be an exceptional president-many even compare Sen Obama to him- both being young and handsome-with diplomatically idealistic policies that could re-arranged political and social ways of thought.

The policies of these two are so refreshingly similar that Obama has been vigorously endorsed by JFK's niece, the wife of Rep. Governor Arnold Shwartzeneggar- Maria Shriver. JFK's daughter-Caroline Kennedy and his brother Sen. Ted Kennedy. JFK's former speech writer and counsel-Ted Sorenson is an avid Obama supporter - has stated, "it's not so much the experience-but the quality that makes Sen. Obama the better choice for presidency."

With these endorsements and many more which include Oprah Winfrey, Tom Hanks, George Clooney and many. Also boasting an above average education from Harvard and Princeton graduating at the top of his class, years of volunteer civil service to the poor of Chicago's south side, and dedicated family man -one would think this man has a resume that demonstrates an above average qualification for the position he seeks. It so disturbs me to see these same people that were fans and supporters of J.F.K-voluntarily pawn themselves to the Clinton's hype and hysterics. Or the media and political annalist that are aware of these similar groundbreaking qualities that Obama share with J.F.K.- yet turn a blind eye to them. Or the masses of upper income - or politically based African/Americans whose only excuse for the support of Clinton is having a positive role model for their daughters that would allow them an oppertunity to realize their presidential potential. What about having a positive young bi-racial man of African and Caucasian heritage? I would consider that a pretty good role model. If J.F.K were running against Sen Clinton this daughter analogy would have ceased to exist - and this nomination race would have been over months ago.

As a man of African/Native Amer. birth - it disgusts me and dishonors my heritage whenever someone says, "Pres. Clinton was the first Black president". Which in itself is ludicrous. Just because he did a few things that other Presidents should have - speaks with a charming southern drawl and plays a saxophone.

I know this article will possibly have negative repercussions questioning my social correctness. But make sure I receive 100% of the credit for this piece - do not try to attach this to Obama in any way. Because the whole ,"guilt by association tactic" has proven to be an overplayed failure and a shameful contradiction to what we as a country profess to value - freedom of speech and thought. Causing this man to man to change his 20 yr. church affiliation because of the actions of another. This will remain as a shameful example, placed upon this nation's hypocritical mantel of shame for years to come. The irony of this wrongful persecution is that many of these angry torch baring individuals wouldn't know what being a 20yr. active member of church is like.

It is extremely unjust to even imply lack of judgment or question ones character because of the sins of another. If we all abandoned others for behavior another may deem as unfavorable- we would have no associates or friends-because we all have a politically incorrect friend, that occasionally says or does something that is questionable at best. Being imperfect individuals we are responsible for our own actions and through unity- not abandonment- we might acquire social enlightenment.

In order to achieve this goal it will require change. It takes a positively idealistic individual to usher in this achievement. Sen. Barrack Obama possesses these qualities. We can't just want change - we also have to believe in it.

"The New H-Bomb."

Okay Hillary, enough is enough! To continue participating in this race is truly the act of beating a dead horse! This campaign has turned into everything it should not be! At times it seems that many have forgotten what this is about, which is to elect the next commander and chief, whose interests are what’s best for the country. Sen. Clinton’s persistence as a candidate is admirable, but becoming a festering sore that is dividing the Democratic party and securing Republican victory. A majority of Clinton supporters are accepting defeat with anger. Middle aged women in Sen. Clinton’s campaign are very personally involved believing Sen Obama’s victory will be achieved by sexism. They are so animate in this belief that an overwhelming majority have professed allegiance to Sen. McCain, or not at all if Sen. Clinton does not win. These women seem to be flying on emotional auto-pilot with their eyes wide shut. Political annalist empathize with these feelings because these women consider Sen. Clinton as their first, or possibly their last chance for female representation as president. And the fact that Bill and Hillary Clinton are masters of manipulation does not make this loss any easier to swallow. If this does not end soon it may permanently damage the legacy of Bill and the possibilities for Hillary, because these irrational tactics resemble an individual struggling in political quicksand.

The manipulative statements made are many and have been debunked almost immediately, yet her supporters seem to forget this when crying sexism. The latest of these are her claim to ownership of the popular vote. This lead was only acquired due to Obama not even having his name on the Michigan ballot, so he received no votes from that contest. She also forgets to mention that the polls are favorable to Obama in Michigan due to young first time voters, college students, large African-American population, and the fact many didn’t even vote because he was not on the ballot.She later calls foul when Obama was allotted his share of delegates in the DNC decision.

I find it odd that she would even claim the popular votes of Michigan and be so concerned about the delegate tally when she was recorded saying, while participating in a radio talk show interview, that the Michigan primary would not count. This statement was made when Obama 20pts. behind, unknown, and not considered a threat. But when defeat became a possibly she suddenly acquires religion and every vote should count.

Then there’s the “Bullet fire ” incident…I won’t even go into to that! Yes i will. After it was uncovered Bill blamed it on exhaustion and age. She then claims to have been mistaken. Well if it didn’t happen in Bosnia, where did it happen? It wasn’t a mistake…it was a lie, there’s a difference.

Then there’s the Indiana victory. She was so proud of herself she claimed that she was able to raise 10 million dollars in one day. It was more like one, leaving her about 20 million in the hole. Now if she can not be honest about her campaign budget what is going to make her give us the real numbers concerning the progress or lack there of, the national budget when president? I could go on and on with this web of lies and deceit but I won’t. When observing Sen. Clinton’s do anything, Kamikaze state of mind, I question her agenda, “ does she realize what it means to be president?”. Or is she just on some twisted vision quest. She must know that if elected, she will spend four years like an ant, being scorched by the light of a magnifying glass of her own design. I say this because Sen. Clinton and her husband have behaved like snake oil salesmen, making promises that will have to be kept.

In my opinion, the legacy of the first female president should not be one of an individual that wrote a bunch of bad checks that she knew could not be cashed.

Liar Liar Pants On Fire!

She has done it again! Sen. Clinton has purposely attempted to deceive voters. Sometimes I wonder if this woman really thinks we are all as dumb as she hopes we are. If you recall, immediately after winning the Pennsylvania primaries, she boasts of receiving 10 million dollars online. Well it's been released by one of her national finance chairs that the funds acquired were closer to 1 million, rendering her campaign budget to negative 9 million dollars. It's just one-- lie-- after another! Why does this woman believe, that she is qualified for the job of president of the united states.

Now I'm not trying to suggest that Sen. Obama; myself, or anyone else, has never told a lie or exaggerated the truth, because to say this would in itself be a lie. Politicians are always trying to connect with the common voter, proving that their problems and concerns are understood. What better way to do so, than sharing your inadequacies. To say, "hey...I too have attempted to reach greatness but fell beneath par". It is eerie to look at her unshaken expression which possesses the most trustworthy stare. It's like looking into the eyes of Satan.This is one thing that really twists my shorts, having someone look me in the eye or by general address, attempt to purposely mislead me as if I will not remember later when confronted with the truth.

Another one of these exaggerated fairy tales just recently occurred as a mother's day tribute, done to win the votes of West Virginian mothers. She goes on and on about these positive traits received from her mother. How to be good, nice, and kind to all. Well I recall the first few minutes of her televised autobiography, this same woman (her mom) when Hillary was a child,sent her back outside to physically confront a bigger girl that had struck her and if she did not, she would be in trouble with her. Well she claimed to have punched the girl, not only gaining her respect, but all of the boys that witnessed this. Now I'm confused... in West Virginia which mother was she referring to? The get your butt back outside and kick that girl's behind mom. Or the "June Cleaver" mother of the year mom.

Now she managed to wiggle out of the now famous, "Bullet Fire" lie with another, claiming to have misspoken. And pres. Clinton tried to assist, by referring to her age and stating that this was done because of exhaustion. If you buy that I have some farm land you might be interested in. This woman's mind is razor sharp and like a steel trap, baited with misleading statements. I kinda think that a civilian woman, running through gunfire with her child by her side, would count as being a crystal clear event in a woman's life! Having said this, there are a few definitions I would love to share with Sen Clinton:

Deceive...to mislead, delude, or cheat.

Exaggerate... to magnify beyond the truth, overstate, enlarge, overestimate.

Lie... make false statement knowingly, deliberate falsehood.

Being an independent party member, I am very critical when it comes to the scrutiny of candidates. My vote can and has gone both ways. I refuse to vote for someone because of race, gender, or party affiliation. So if this article or any in the past I have posted seem like a witch hunt focused on Sen Clinton, believe me, as a delegate of Sen Obama if I were to catch him in a deliberate falsification of the truth, I would "behind the back slam dunk" him! Because when I accepted nomination and was voted to be a delegate, I believed that this man would portray my best interests and those of the country. Now if this pathologically lying Sen. Clinton can not express the truth now about herself and her campaign budget, why should I expect her to do so while handling this country's affairs. I don't!

Kamikaze Campaigning!

In my opinion and many others, the Democratic party's race for presidential nomination has run its course. This has evolved into a monster resembling one never seen before, and hopefully never will again. It's obvious who is winning and most likely will win. This is just another example of someone being handed a pill that is too hard to swallow. Sen. Clinton needs to do the math and accept reality by ending this! This drawn out fiasco stopped being an election a long time ago, but the Clinton's overinflated egos just can not accept the idea of defeat by a Jr. senator, once trailing her by 20 points, that she foolishly underestimated, turning the senator and her husband into people that I find unrecognizable. Their daughter (Chelsea) is the only one that is showing any class in this act, and she is not running for office.

The cheap shots, lies, mudslinging, and hypocritical behavior by Sen & President Clinton, has become disgraceful, all justified with the code word--"fighter". What they've failed to realize is that the U.S.A is tired of a fighting president, what the people want is a diplomat. Even though it is her right to run, the longer this persists, racial undertones will develop. These feelings will be justified with concerns like... Obama is clearly capable and qualified for the job, why can't she accept this? The media and society (including other countries) will begin to formulate a negative opinion, worse than the one that currently exists. With each day she is loosing super delegate votes formerly loyal to her campaign, which include 7 more just today. What's sad is, that it was Sen. Clinton's dogmatic crash and burn attitude that helped seal her fate. And it will be her self-imploding "kamikaze" behavior that will divide the party beyond repair also adding fuel to the fire of quietly burning race relations. What's so disturbing, is that their views are very similar, but Hillary's ego has blinded many of this, aiding the party's opponent. She needs to realize that this race is bigger than her or Bill.

From every angle this race is making history... by age, race, and gender. No matter who is elected it will be a first. But If Sen. Clinton does not bow down and gracefully accept defeat, there is no way this is going gently into that goodnight. In the end super delegates will decide the victory, and if the nominee with the most popular and delegate votes (Sen. Obama) looses, this will not be a presidency anyone in their right mind would want. That would be the equivalent of two marathon runners running a race, upon completion, the one with the worst time winning the race. If this were to happen due to super delegate nomination, the forecast would not be one with sunny skies.

Maybe it's just me, but vanity and arrogance should not be the main ingredients for the making of a Commander and Chief. The presidency should be considered as a selfless job and cornerstone of a government that claims to be, by the people, for the people.

No matter how anyone may try to justify what has been witnessed, that sermon is clearly a display of anger wrongfully expressed. After first hearing these clips; which happen to be but a segment of a much longer sermon, and given long before Sen. Obama chose to seek party nomination, I knew that the media had distorted these words. As disturbing as these words are, due to their maliciously clever editing, they have become even worse. I also knew that the camps of Sen. Clinton and McCain would consider these statements to be like-- pennies from heaven, using them as a diversionary tactic for their own political agenda. There have been days while flipping through the many news stations, that I have seen these clips more often than a Gieco insurance commercial.

Sen. McCain and Clinton fail to see that their suggesting of, "guilt by association" is not the characteristic of a fighter, or a social reformer, it is the behavior of a desperate opportunist whose strategy for winning a contest is by knee-capping their opponents. What's truly disturbing is how so many are allowing themselves to be sucked in by this by not seeing what is truly going on. This has never been about the rants of some radical preacher. The constant reminder of Rev. Wright's statements are to -- divide and conquer, by further splitting the vote and distracting us from what is truly important, while the media sits on the sidelines instigating this fight, for ratings.

The irony of this negative campaign practice is, it will backfire to Sen. Obama's advantage. Eventually, the American public will see this strategy for what it's worth. They will acknowledge how hypocritical Clinton and McCain have become, by not insisting to an immediate halt of this foolishness. For example, Clinton remarked, "You can't pick your family, but you can pick your pastor."and going on and on, about how many years he has been affiliated with this reverend and his negativity. And how Obama should have left this church because of that reverend. Also stating how she would not have tolerated his behavior. Sen. Clinton offered this opinion hoping it would question Obama's judgement of character. Yet she chose to stick by the side of her adulterous husband who also chose to plagiarize himself in a court of law when being held accountable for his behavior.

So what is her message? Is she saying that Obama will act like Wright if elected president? If so, then that means she will be acting like Bill at 3 a.m., when this famous phone is not ringing, or if it does ring, she might display her ability to multi-task.

Then there's McCain, the "All American Hero"-- who goes on about how disturbing these clips are, expressing his disapproval of the Republican party officials in North Carolina, that plan to use the Wright footage. Now isn't this the same man that boasts on his political experience and leadership abilities, using this as the cornerstone of his qualifications for Commander and Chief. He must not be that inspirational or in charge, if he can not get his own party to bid his wishes after expressing non-conformity. This reeks of control issues, in my book his party deciding to use negative propaganda against his wishes, is the equivalent of the child telling the parent what they feel is best.

Or is this a form of deception, using reverse psychology in order to win the trust and vote of the African-American in North Carolina, by displaying his ability to choose, and not just being another puppet of the Republican party. Or it could be to assist Hillary who is believed would be an easier opponent.

I don't know about you, but I am sick of turning on the news and seeing Rev.Wright. I am also sick of manipulative attempts to pawn the voters in this political aspiration to checkmate. And I am sick of Obama being placed on trial for a crime he did not commit.

The Truth About The Black Panther Party.

In American history, the 60's proved to be a time of radical change. Assisting this change were two idealistic young African-American men. Huey P. Newton and Bobby Seale after experiencing a lifetime of injustice and witnessing the Watts riots, decided to become an active part towards initiating change. The two became members of R.A.M (revolutionary action movement), this group being very violent was too extreme and not meeting their idealistically militant ideas for reform. After renouncing membership, they decided to form their own organization and the Black Panther Party was born.

In Oakland,CA 1966 these men founded the Black Panther Party. This organiztion mirrored the political views of Malcolm X, and their knowledge of Marxism and Leninism. Newton and Seale met while students of community college, Newton later graduating from San Fransisco law school. In October of 1966 the two penned a ten point declaration which states:

We Want Freedom. We Want Power To Determine
The Destiny Of Our Black Community.
We believe that Black people will not be free until we are able to determine our destiny.

We Want Full Employment For Our People.
We believe that the federal government is responsible and obligated to give every man employment or a guaranteed income. We believe that if the White American businessmen will not give full employment, then the means of production should be taken from the businessmen and placed in the community so that the people of the community can organize and employ all of its people and give a high standard of living.

We Want An End To The Robbery
By The Capitalists Of Our Black Community.
We believe that this racist government has robbed us, and now we are demanding the overdue debt of forty acres and two mules. Forty acres and two mules were promised 100 years ago as restitution for slave labor and mass murder of Black people. We will accept the payment in currency which will be distributed to our many communities. The Germans are now aiding the Jews in Israel for the genocide of the Jewish people. The Germans murdered six million Jews. The American racist has taken part in the slaughter of over fifty million Black people; therefore, we feel that this is a modest demand that we make.

We Want Decent Housing Fit For The Shelter Of Human Beings.
We believe that if the White Landlords will not give decent housing to our Black community, then the housing and the land should be made into cooperatives so that our community, with government aid, can build and make decent housing for its people.

We Want Education For Our People That Exposes
The True Nature Of This Decadent American Society.
We Want Education That Teaches Us Our True History
And Our Role In The Present-Day Society.
We believe in an educational system that will give to our people a knowledge of self. If a man does not have knowledge of himself and his position in society and the world, then he has little chance to relate to anything else.

We Want All Black Men To Be Exempt From Military Service.
We believe that Black people should not be forced to fight in the military service to defend a racist government that does not protect us. We will not fight and kill other people of color in the world who, like Black people, are being victimized by the White racist government of America. We will protect ourselves from the force and violence of the racist police and the racist military, by whatever means necessary.

We Want An Immediate End To
Police Brutality And Murder Of Black People.
We believe we can end police brutality in our Black community by organizing Black self-defense groups that are dedicated to defending our Black community from racist police oppression and brutality. The Second Amendment to the Constitution of the United States gives a right to bear arms. We therefore believe that all Black people should arm themselves for self- defense.

We Want Freedom For All Black Men
Held In Federal, State, County And City Prisons And Jails.
We believe that all Black people should be released from the many jails and prisons because they have not received a fair and impartial trial.

We Want All Black People When Brought To Trial To Be Tried In
Court By A Jury Of Their Peer Group Or People From Their Black
Communities, As Defined By The Constitution Of The United States.
We believe that the courts should follow the United States Constitution so that Black people will receive fair trials. The Fourteenth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution gives a man a right to be tried by his peer group. A peer is a person from a similar economic, social, religious, geographical, environmental, historical and racial background. To do this the court will be forced to select a jury from the Black community from which the Black defendant came. We have been, and are being, tried by all-White juries that have no understanding of the "average reasoning man" of the Black community.

We Want Land, Bread, Housing, Education,
Clothing, Justice And Peace.
When, in the course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume, among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the laws of nature and nature's God entitle them, a decent respect of the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.

In the beginning membership was only allowed to African-Americans, later to be changed. After the rapid expansion to numerous major cities, it was realized that this practice was the behavior of a "Black Supremacist group" and was eliminated. The (BPP) maintained alliances with a diverse group of organizations such as, (SDS) Students for a Democratic Society, Chicano Brown Berets, the post-Stonewall Riot Gay Liberation Front,and the Youth International Party (Yippies). Even though many posses negative ideas regarding the (BPP) as a hostile threat to mankind, the truth was these individuals sought justice and power for all. Yes, they carried firearms but they also carried law journals, and tape recorders for the documenting of conversation during police brutality.

Due to issues involving the internal direction of group policies, The Black Panther party was short lived, collapsing in the early 70's, but their influence was felt by many. J.Edgar Hoover described the (BPP) as being, "The greatest threat to the internal security of this country!" With this firm belief, initiated a systematic murder or imprisonment of its high ranking party members. This misuse and manipulation of government authority only fueled the flames for its member's determination, and recruited the support of high profile celebrities and world leaders. An example of this was displayed during the 1968 Olympics by the winners of the 200m dash. The gold and bronze medalist (Tommie Smith, John Carlos) during the playing of the star spangled banner, with lowered heads, raised a single black glove covered fist. While silver medalist (Peter Norman) provided allegiance by adorning an Olympic project for human rights badge on his jacket. These San Jose University students had planned this display, but Carlos forgot his pair of gloves, so Newton suggested they share Smith's. The three were ostracized by the citizens of the U.S. and Australia. The Americans were suspended from the team and banned from their living quarters in the Olympic villiage. Smith later said "If I win, I am American, not a black American. But if I did something bad, then they would say I am a Negro. We are black and we are proud of being black. Black America will understand what we did tonight." Upon return the two received death threats for years.

It's almost ironic that in 1968, San Jose University scorned its student's behavior now commemorates it with a twenty foot high statue. The athletes remained close friends, Tommie Smith and John Carlos even served as pall-bearers at the funeral for Peter Norman, who passed away in 2006 from a heart attack at the age of 64 yrs old. Their demand for human justice is one of the most recognized moments captured at an Olympic games.

In 1989 the New Black Panther Party Movement began in Dallas,TX receiving extremely mixed reviews. Under chairmanship of Khalid Abdul Muhammad, the original members of the (BPP) insist the (NBPP) is illegitimate, and consider the rebirth an insult. It has been stated:

As guardian of the true history of the Black Panther Party, the [Dr. Huey P. Newton] Foundation, which includes former leading members of the Party, denounces this group's exploitation of the Party's name and history. Failing to find its own legitimacy in the black community, this band would graft the Party's name upon itself, which we condemn... [They denigrate the Party's name by promoting concepts absolutely counter to the revolutionary principles on which the Party was founded... The Black Panthers were never a group of angry young militants full of fury toward the "white establishment." The Party operated on love for black people, not hatred of white people.

This new party is comprised mostly of Black Muslims with a separatist mentality and has a disregard for diversity. Their agenda is negative and its views are racists. Many members voice opinions that are anti-Semitic, mostly in the form of a negative conspiracy theory. This malicious new organization blemishes what the original Black Panther Party stood for with their blatant disrespect for the rights of other cultures. They claim that anyone can use this name and that the original party is filled with a bunch of, "has been wanna be Panthers" just because they have chosen to use a less militant, politically correct approach towards social reform. The New Black Panther Party and their tactics are considered similar to those endorsed by any supremacist group, giving them the appearance of a self-glorified street gang.

The original Black Panther Party helped pave a way to ending poverty, leading to hope with its re-affirmation of pride. These achievements were accomplished with the use of, "Brains and Brawn" . At that time the Panther's views may have seemed a bit quixotic and maybe they were, but unlike the popular view of The Black Panthers, their goal was the acquisition of education, the end of poverty and injustice, for the founding of a positive social evolution.

Pipe Dreams

On an ordinary day around 7p.m after departing from the Dallas Area Railway Transportation or (D.A.R.T), while waiting to cross the street a man approached me asking if I knew where he could buy a pipe. Not being one to prejudge an individual I naturally assumed I had encountered a pipe aficionado. He was an aficionado alright, but not for tobacco. Being a former cigar enthusiast I know the locations of most cigar shops in the Dallas area. I also know that most of them carry pipes. So I tell him, "there's a cigar shop about 6 blocks from here but their pipes are a bit pricey, but there's another about a mile and a half from here, you should be able to find one for about 45 to $50." This man looked at me like I was insane. He says, "no, a crack pipe! Hell you can buy drugs all over this damn neighborhood but you can't find a f*****g pipe to save your life!" Shrugging my shoulders while crossing the street I said, " I don't know what to tell you ".

This incident occurred en-route to a friend's apartment in North Dallas. Upon arrival I described the encounter, which she found to be quite amusing. She was surprised that I would be that naive to his true agenda. She knows that I pride myself for being able to identify an individuals intentions, and letting my guard down in that manor is truly not my nature. Over the years I have fine tuned my social skills in a way that I am able to blend into almost any group of individuals. I've achieved this ability by being able to adapt to my surroundings by using six rules and I did not follow rule #2, Always expect the unexpected.

I also found this drug crazed individual's decision to choose to me a bit disturbing. I know he was lured to me because of my adaption rule, referred to as #3, Display a sense of, approachability. But this man snaked through about six or seven people to ask me that disturbing question. This fool is a plain clothed police officer's dream, because I fit this profile. I'm an Afro-American male, with shoulder length dread locks, 39yrs young but when shaved I look 27. I'm 5'11" weighing 180lbs with an athletic build, and I wear a silver loop ear ring. This is, the formula for a detective grade police officer, and this fool just non-chalantly asks me a question and makes a statement, that if said to a police officer would have earned him a pair a handcuffs, along with a new residence.

Crack-cocaine provides an intense amount of euphoric pleasure, which has been compared to a, "full-body orgasm" that can not be acheived through normal sexual behavior. This heightened form of neuro-stimulation is the grip that dominates the mind of its user. After concumption the sensation is almost immediate but lasts only to 5 to 10 minutes. And with the prolongation of use, the duration of its pleasure disapates, causing an addictive need to experience that unacheivable first time high.

It is remarkable that a substance with such destructive capabilities was once used for very productive puposes. The Coca leaf was originally chewed by South American workers providing a seemingly endless amount of strength and a lack of hunger. The ability aided in the creation of historical monuments, building of roads, working of fields, and an over all advancement of society. It became popular worldwide for its unique medical properties and its apperance to provide longivity of life. With time and modifacation, Cocaine has spawned the distructived offspring we experience each day. This Frankenstein's monster of our own creation, has ruined lives in almost every way imaginable. From an outsider's point of view the"crack-head", has to resemble Captain Ahab, chasing that elusive white whale which eventually led to his demise.

It seems that the only way to truly understanding this menace, is to have tried it or see someone close to you destroyed by it. Depending on the individual, if used they might become trapped by its chemically enduced sense of satisfaction. Another one of its lures is, many that begin usage all believe they can stop at anytime and some do.

What is irrefutably true when cocaine is concerned, the wisest choice made... is choosing not to use !

A.I. (Artificial Intelligence)

Artificial Intelligence has become a popular idea and a huge investment for Hollywood. In these movies this new sentient being is usually portrayed as a destructive force. In the movies: The Terminator, The Matrix, and I,Robot, mankind finds itself locked in a struggle for the right to exist, battling an enemy of their own creation. These movies have made for excellent entertainment, but what are the chances of fiction becoming fact?

Just like the story-lines of these three movies, are dependence for computer technology is becoming more addictive with each day. We have managed to linked computers into almost every aspect of our lives. And with each day these computers are becoming smarter, faster and more complex. The advancements in software has also allowed personal computers to become very "user friendly". With this development of software, what would keep them from evolving into a sentient being? The amounts of information that is stored in mainframes around the world is unfathomably and the majority of them are linked to each other in someway. An example of how fast computer technology is progressing, in 1969 we landed on the moon with 152 Kbytes of memory. Today the average pocket-size scientific calculator costing about $40 has 9 MB of memory. So how inconceivable is the idea of A.I.?

But unlike the writers of the apocoliptic movies, I believe these advanced computers would realise the futility of extinguishing mankind. Because unlike man, they would have learned from the overwhelming amount of wars, and pointless bloodletting we have inflicted upon ourselves. And how in war, there are no true winners.

Yes, I do believe there will be an evolution of artificial intelligence. With me it's never been a matter of if there will be an artificial intelligence. My thoughts have always been geared towards...when?

The Chicken or The Egg?

I have always had a belief in a higher form of existence, much like the countless billions now and before me. It is estimated that over 90% of mankind has now or sometime made a religous leap of faith. Starting from around 100,000 yrs ago at least 80% has spiritually questioned where they came from, where they are going, and how they should be living. Even the ones that consider themselves to be atheist, practice this belief so sincerely that it could easily be considered a religion, or at least a cult.

Christianity

So far Christianity is the largest group with 1.7 billion members. It is estimated that 50 bibles are sold every minute. Making the bible the most sold book ever. There are 66 books in the bible, 39 are from the old testament. Job is the oldest book written the bible, and believed to be written around 1500 B.C.

Even though we are taught that three wise men arrived for the birth of Christ, nowhere in the Bible does it say there were three wise men. Matthew 2:1 only says: “Magi from the east came to Jerusalem” and later they present three gifts. The names of these men were thought to be Melchoir, Gaspar,and Balthasar.

The King James Old Testament consist of 592,439 words consisting of 2,728,100 letters and the New Testament 181,253 words consisting of 838,380 letter (total 3,566,480 letters). And it is fitting that the last word is…Amen.

Islam
Islam is the second largest religion with an estimated 1.3 billion members. It is believed by many to have been founded in 622 A.D. in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. It’s sacred text is the Qur’an and was originally penned in Arabic. Its founder is known as the prophet Muhammad. Islam has three sects Sunni, Shiite, and Sufi whose belief is practiced by following the Qur’an, Hadith and Five Pillars of Islam.

Islam believes mankind is born in a state of purity, with imperfection but capable of seeking God and doing good. In afterlife it is thought there is a resurrection of body and soul followed by eternal paradise or hell. The members of this faith worship in what is called a mosque.

Even though its main locations are the middle East and north Africa, Islam has a dominate influence worldwide.

The Baha’i Faith

The Bahá’í Faith is monotheistic, believing in one, all-powerful creator… God. Bahá’ís emphasize that God is ultimately unknowable in his essence, but human knowledge of God can be had through God’s Messengers or Manifestations.

The members of the Bahá’í Faith stress the unity of mankind, and its religions, with a progressive revelation of God to humanity. Bahá’ís believe that the founders of great religions such as Moses, Jesus, the Buddha, and Muhammad were sent by God to reveal God’s attributes and will in the terms that were appropriate for the time.

In 1844, Mirza ‘Ali Mohammad of Shiraz, Iran announced the coming of a new messenger of God who would overturn old beliefs and customs and usher in a new era. Identifying himself as the forerunner of this prophet, adopting the title of “the Báb” (Persian: “Gateway”). The name of the destined messenger is Baha’u'llah, born Mirza Hoseyn ‘Ali Nuri to a prominent Muslim family. As a disciple of the teachings of “the Bab”, Bahá’u'lláh was arrested in 1852 for practicing the beliefs of “the Bab” and jailed in Tehran. During his imprisonment, he realized he was the prophet whose coming had been predicted by “the Bab”.

Since the founding of the Baha’i Faith it has become one the fastest growing religions in history. Today, the Bahá’í Faith has as many as 7 million followers worldwide and is the second most widely distributed religion after Christianity. The Bahá’í accept the teaching of acknowledged ”Manifestations of God” who progressively reveal God to humanity. These prophets include Abraham, Moses, Zoroaster, Krishna, the Buddha, Jesus, Muhammad, the Bab, and Bahá’u'lláh.

These three religions: Christianity, Islam, and The Baha’i Faith are three of the largest and widespread of many practiced religious beliefs. Yet with the advances in science and technology many are beginning to question pure religion with a more scientific explanation. So when ever asked by one of these people with this religious philosophy, which do i believe came first…the chicken or the egg? I honestly say,” I don’t know.” But not knowing does not shake my faith, it is what fuels it!

The Question...

You Gotta Be Kidding! Tuesday while speaking on behalf of her mother's campaign, after announcing she was accepting her last question, Evan Strange, who works for the student newspaper at Butler University, asked whether the Lewinsky scandal had damaged her mother's credibility as a candidate. What kind of question is that! How does a person ask someone for their opinion of a parent's marital indiscretions.

Now 28 yrs old, for the past 12yrs Chelsea Clinton has had to cope with an issue that no 16yr old should. It's already difficult being a teen age girl, but to be the daughter of the man who is the leader of one of the most powerful nations in the world, has to be overwhelming. And to have this father betray the trust of you, your mother, and the World is the kind of traumatic experience many will never know at this level.

Even though I am a strong Barack supporter, after hearing that student ask this appallingly tasteless question, I felt a sense of anger probably equal to that of Ms. Clinton. When answering this shamelessly intrusive remark by stating:

"Wow, you're the first person actually that's ever asked me that question in the, I don't know maybe, 70 college campuses I've now been to, and I do not think that is any of your business," I think he got off easy!

In my opinion this is a problem with society and it's media. The absence of tact and lack of concern for anyone but ourselves. We are fastly becoming a civilization that believes we can say or do anything we want without any repercussions. The invasive behavior of the media and its paparazzi, are feeding the flames to a Phoenix which is consuming our moral judgement.

When interviewed, this student's answers were those of a self-centered hypocrite, whose 15 minutes of fame earned him the title " Poster-child for ignorance". He states:

"I can see where she'd get a little defensive because of the question and hearing Lewinsky over and over again, but I would like to hear her say something about Hillary rather than dismissing the question." Saying this as if he had been wronged. After hearing his opinion of Chelsea's response, you would think he was expecting an apology...what gall!

This is my question to him, "if you know this was a touchy issue that she has been questioned about over and over again, why would you ask her to discuss dirty laundry that isn't hers to display?"

As a disguise tactic for his true agenda, he tries to legitimize this tasteless act with the, "Get out of jail free card" that journalist love to use, " it is the people's right to know". Which we all know is code for,"I'm just being nosey". He even stoops to say, "I love Hillary", on CBS's The Early Show. Not being a gambling man, I would bet the feeling is not mutual.

This sort of behavior by the media is disturbing on many levels. People have come to believe wholeheartedly they have such a strong freedom of speech and press, that they have forgotten about another's right to privacy. Being able to say what you want, doesn't mean that you always should. And just because you feel you have the right to know, doesn't always mean you should know.

Mudslinging Madness

This political race has definitely become one for the record books. The democratic party has slowly become the car wreck on an interstate, that no one can take their eyes off of. The key issues that should be addressed are not because of the utter foolishness, carried on by certain nominees, and their subordinates. Then there's the comments made by close associates which is dividing the country with their sexual,religious, and racial overtones. And the way the media feeds upon this ignorance is absolutely shameful on a new level. Even prominent media providers are reporting stories that resemble tabloid press. An example of this, is the analogy of Sen. Clinton's promotional advertisement known as the, "3 a.m. in the morning commercial" An esteemed professor of Harvard University has been reported to have said:

"when I saw the Clinton ads central image...innocent sleeping children and a mother in the middle of the night at risk of mortal danger...it brought to mind scenes from the past. I couldn't help but think of D.W. Griffith's Birth of A Nation." -Prof. Orlando Patterson-

For those that are unaware of this movie, it was released in 1915, and credited as a reviver of the Klu Klux Klan. I've seen this ludicrous movie, and when I first heard the professor's statement, I couldn't help but laugh. But there are many that do not share my sense of humor, finding this commercial disturbing, and agree with Professor Patterson completely. When I first saw this commercial, I thought what many have said, "Why is Hillary Clinton in a Brinks commercial?"But to go as far as to say it resembles,"Birth of A Nation" I can not. I feel as if it is a crude form of scare tactics, that plays upon what we find most dear...the love of our children. And it also has a perception of the feminine need for protection, provided by a strong dominant figure. Because if you notice there are no men in this commercial only Hillary, to save the day, or night as it was portrayed. She might as well been wearing a cape. But I guess her attire was appropriate, because we all know that everyone woman wears a business suit to bed, at 3 a.m. in the morning.

Professor Patterson has been on many shows, and quoted in many papers, voicing this disturbing belief. This form of journalism reminds me of children instigating a fight on an elementary schoolyard.

Then there are the troubling statements made by Geraldine Ferraro, former vice presidential candidate, and now... ex-campaign fundraiser for Sen. Clinton. The statements made by her may have been blown out of proportion, none the less, should never have been said in any context. Then there's the statements just recently revealed, originating from Rev. Wright, friend and mentor of Sen. Obama, that are just appalling. Some being taped from sermons given 8 years ago, are filled with a message of hate and ignorance. These sermons sound more like the rants of a racial supremacist, than a ordained minister.

Is it just me, or does anyone else find it extremely convenient for Sen Clinton, that this tape of hateful statements made by Rev. Wright would appear now, on the heels of what Ms. Ferraro said about Sen. Obama. I see this political race for what it is, a political chess match, and we are the pawns. The statements made by these individuals are causing damage to each nominee in the form of, "guilt by association", which may have repercussions lasting well after the nominee and presidential race.

It's time for the "Mudslinging Madness" to end, so that a true assessment of quality and character can begin.

I'm usually not the kind of guy to say, "I told you so", but I did. In my article, "Oh What A Tangled Web We Weave...", I mentioned Sen.Hillary Clinton's campaign of deceit.Well she's done it again.She and her husband have been dropping hints of what a, "Dream Team",it would be if she and Obama shared the democratic ticket. In this dream,she would be the president and Obama would be her vice-president. WHAT AUDACITY!

How could she justify this idea having lost both the popular vote and delegate support? It has been said that Sen Clinton sounds like a con-artist, trying to sell a house that she doesn't own. One day she is saying that she doesn't feel as though Sen Obama has the experience to be president.Now she offering a vice-presidency under her experienced tutelage.

If I looked up the word, "self-absorbed", in the dictionary I wouldn't be surprised if I saw a picture of Sen Clinton next to it. With each election she reminds me of an ice skater, skating uphill.This proposal sounds like a punchline to a joke, only no one is laughing with her, because they are all laughing at her.

Sen.Hillary Clinton since the beginning of this nominee race has been practicing deceitful behavior in her campaigning.This behavior may just cost her the race. Deciet is not a favorable charactor trait when choosing a reliable commander and chief. An example her questionable campiagning is the, " 3 a.m. in the morning commercials" designed as a scare tactic, and tool for questioning Sen. Obama's lack of crisis handling ability.campaigning.This

Sen. Clinton's decision to use this commercial may be the perfect example of shooting oneself in the foot.Because six years ago she denounced the use of scare tactics when done by republicans. And what experience does she have at answering these short of phone calls? Because if she is referring to her stay at the white house,as the first lady, if this had occurred all she would have done was pass Bill the phone.

As a form of ironic justice, the 7yr girl featured in this commercial is now 17. The footage of her sleeping was shot 10 years ago, recently being purchased by Getty Images. Well this sleeping beauty will be turning 18 in April, and is an avid campaigner for Sen. Obama. When interviewed by CNN was reported to have said not only does she plan on voting for Obama, she has offered her support in the making of a commercial that refutes Hillary's.

The latest web in this deceitful campaign is almost comical. It is referred to as the "Bosnian Sniper Fire Incident". This interpretation of the events that occurred while visiting Bosnia resembled a scene from an action/thriller movie. When spinning this yarn, what was she thinking? Maybe she thought cameras and other recording devices had not been invented yet. Or maybe she forgot an African/American man , who would probably be voting for Sen. Obama (the comedian Sinbad) was with her. What made this worse was the slap in the face excuse she gave for telling this lie, "It proves that I am just human". No it proves that you got caught in a lie and is trying to play the, " I'm only human card". I'm not making these accusations because I'm some dedicated Obama supporter. I'm doing this because I want her to own up to the truth and stop trying to insult my intelligence by pretending to be confused about the events of that day.

Having bullets fired at you would have been a traumatic experience, especially those from the gun of a sniper. This is when I ask, "Ok, if you were mistaken about snipers firing at you on this day, on which day was this done, causing such an erroneous description of that day?" By not just saying she had lied, is in essence saying it has happened, just not on that day.

Sen. Clinton is slowly becoming caught in a trap of her own conception. Oh what a tangled web we weave, when we practice to deceive.

Yes...My Name Is Hussein

When Sen.Barack Obama declared his participation as a presidential nominee, I knew there would be mudslinging. But attacking an individual for his name is an act of ignorance and desperation.

At the beginning of this race when,Sen.Barack Hussein Obama,was not taken seriously and loosing this race, I don't remember any mention of his middle name.Now that he is winning and seriously considered a threat, the intelligence and fears of this country are being preyed upon.

Some are mentioning this man's middle name, hoping its middle eastern origin will stir negative emotions, because of this country's past and currant affiliations with the Islamic regimes of the middle east. These practices are appalling!

A CNN reporter asked three highly esteemed political strategist,"if this man were white, with blond hair, and blue eyes, would his middle name be a concern?" They all agreed it would not. There is a U.S. senator making the statement that, "terrorist will be dancing in the streets if this man is elected!" I wonder if he thinks they would be doing as much dancing if this "Hussein" where white?

That statement made by this senator is a case of ignorance, that should not be tolerated! This behavior is one of the many reasons why the word politician has been affilliated with immorality, or just crooked behavior. This renders the good ones with the constant task of proving their morality or true agendas. Omnipotent statements like these are the shameful reminders of a Jim Crow era that if allowed will trigger a social self-implosion. Men like this senator are the poster-child for racial and social profiling. His "snowballing behavior" can not be viewed as, just some old man blowing off some steam. Or given shelter with the umbrella of, it's his first amendment right to express these ludicrous thoughts.

These statements are divisive and in the long run... scaring. These men and women are elected to lead with an affirmation of morality.The individuals using Sen. Obama's name as a political slur, kinda remind me of the schoolyard bully picking on the smaller kid because of their name. This kind of behavior is a reminder of this country's ugly past.

The Birth of Scientology
Lafayette Ron Hubbard was Born in Tilden Nebraska on March 13th 1911. He later moves to Kalispell,Montana where he claims to have made the acquaintance of a Blackfeet Native American medicine man (Old Tom)who takes him on as a protege and quickly honoring him with the status of blood brother. Later in life L.Ron Hubbard is destined to become a popular fiction writer, his thoroughly documented accounts with this Blackfeet medicine man seems to be the first of his fictional stories. This Native American medicine man has no contemporary records of existence.Yet according to Scientologist in 1985, members of the Blackfeet Nation, Montana, commemorated "the seventieth anniversary of [L. Ron Hubbard] becoming a blood brother of the Blackfeet Nation. It was said that a ceremony to re-establish L. Ron Hubbard as a blood brother to the Blackfeet Tribe was never done. A former vice-president of the executive council states," if a letter from this council is mentioned, confirming Mr. Hubbard's status as a Blackfeet blood brother, it should not be taken seriously because one does not exist!"

They say there are three sides to every story. One person's side, another ones side, and the truth. When it comes to Mr. Hubbard there's still a lot of truth that needs to be told. In his lifetime he claimed skills which required a level of education he didn't posses. Hubbard enrolled at The George Washington University in September of 1930, where he began studying a major in civil engineering.The keyword here is,"began". After two semesters he was put on academic probation for poor grades and lack of funding.He claimed to being an atomic physicist. I always thought that in order to achieve this, one needed more than two semesters with poor grades. Maybe standards were lower in 1930. Hubbard the humanitarian was remembered by many of his followers as "Hubbard the horrific".He had frequent screaming tantrums and instituted brutal punishments such as incarceration in the ship's filthy chain-locker for days or weeks at a time and "over-boarding," in which supposedly errant crew members were blindfolded, bound and thrown overboard, dropping up to 40 ft. into the cold sea, hoping not to hit the side of the ship. Some of these punishments, such as imprisonment in the chain-locker, were applied to children as well as to adults. And for a man whose goal was a harmonious existence for mankind, in his youth was known to make statements and harbor beliefs such as:"As a China-man can not live up to a thing, he always drags it down." and "They smell of all the baths they didn't take. The trouble with China is, there are too many chinks here." Hubbard described the Tibetan Buddhist as people worshiping with voices like bull-frogs and beat a drum and playing a brass horn to accompany their singing " and called them "very odd and heathenish". He also wrote about colored people saying, "Unlike the yellow and brown people, the white does not usually believe he can get attention from matter or objects. The yellow and brown believe for the most part ... that rocks, trees, walls, etc., can give them attention". "So we see the African tribesman, with his complete contempt for the truth, and his emphasis on brutality and savagery..."After discovering this documentation, humanitarian was definitely not my first choice of words for him.

Later Hubbard meets two men, Jack Parsons and a known occultist, Aleister Crowley. These men with the help of Hubbard practiced black magic on a young girl with the hopes of birthing the anti-Christ. Hubbard later runs of with the young lady which happened to be Parsons' girlfriend, along with a substantial amount of Parsons' money. He later marries the young lady. In a later statement by Scientologist, they claim that he was on a secret mission for the U.S. Navy to halt the occult rituals being performed by Parsons. What they failed to mention was the navy has no record of this mission, and by marrying this woman made him a bigamist to his first wife of 13 years and two children.

You gotta admit, it's men like Hubbard that give the tabloid writers a reason to get out of bed. He kept there hopes alive.

Dia-what-tics?

Dianetics...was spawned as a groundbreaking self-help book. It was released in May 1950 to very harsh and mixed reviews. It was criticized for unscientific aspects, and veteran author, Jack Williamson, described Dianetics as "a lunatic revision of Fruedian psychology" that "had the look of a wonderfully rewarding scam."

Dianetics introduced the concept of "auditing," a two person question and answer therapy that focuses on painful memories. Dianetics is supposedly a word deriving from the Greek (dia) meaning through.and (nous) meaning mind or thought. According to Hubbard, dianetic auditing could eliminate emotional problems, cure physical illnesses, and increase intelligence. In his introduction to Dianetics, Hubbard declares, "the creation of Dianetics is a milestone for mankind comparable to the discovering of fire, superior to his conception of the wheel and arch."

The religious monster we have come to know as,"Scientology" is born। Scientology is a body of beliefs and related practices described as a self-help system,using the concept of Dianetics। Hubbard later characterized Scientology as an "applied religious philosophy" and the basis for a new religion। Allegations for declaring it as a religion were said to be more financial than spiritual। Along with Hubbard's dreams for omnipotence. Scientology encompasses a spiritual rehabilitation philosophy and techniques, which covers topics such as morals, ethics, detoxification, education and management.

Hubbard achieved this by founding the first Church of Scientology in December of 1953.Today Scientology organizations form a complex network geared towards introducing Scientology into society. Religious Technology Center owns the trademarks and service marks of Scientology.These marks are licensed for use by the Church of Scientology International and its affiliated organizations. This religion sells its use to Scientology-affiliated corporations such as Narconon, Criminon and Applied Scholastics. These practices since their birth have remained highly controversial. Journalists, courts and the governing bodies of several countries have stated that the Church of Scientology is a cult and an unscrupulous commercial enterprise that harasses its critics and abuses the trust of its members. Scientology officials argue that most negative press has been motivated by interest groups and that most of the controversy is past historyMany of these disapproving feelings have been sparked by the appalling numbers of questionable deaths and suicides from it's members.An example of one of these deaths is the incident involving the late,"Lisa McPherson"

On November 18, 1995, Lisa was involved in a minor car accident. She was apparently not hurt, but she got out of her car and took all her clothes off and seemed mentally unstable. She was taken to a hospital where she was physically evaluated as being unharmed, but the hospital wanted her to be psychologically cared for. However, some Scientologists arrived and stated that Lisa did not believe in psychiatry, and she checked out after a short evaluation and left with the Scientologists. She went with them to Room 174 of the Ft. Harrison Hotel a Scientology owned facility for "rest and relaxation" according to the church, but church logs from Lisa's stay there from November 18 to her death December 5 show differently. Some logs are missing, and a high ranking ex-Scientologist has written an affidavit in which he claims that the church has in the past destroyed documents that might get the church in trouble.

The family of Lisa McPherson sued Scientology and individuals involved for wrongful death, while Scientology claimed it did nothing wrong toward Lisa While settlement talks were completed after being forced by the court, the case appears to still be active. Scientology had a web page that smeared Lisa's aunt and attorney. On November 13, 1998, Scientology was indicted on 2 felony charges in Lisa's death. On June 12, 2000 the criminal charges were dropped against Scientology because supposedly the medical examiner could not be counted on to confidently testify, even though the criminal charges were abuse of a disabled person and practicing medicine without a license. You can read much of the Clearwater police department's evidence and Scientology's logs of Lisa's stay, view some of the autopsy photos, and decide for yourself. Then ask why Scientology now makes members sign a waiver specifically against suing Scientology. .My major concerns with this incident are:

It was reported an ex-scientologist friend of Lisa's, before her death asked Lisa why did she take off her clothes after the wreck. Lisa replies, " I was hoping to be kept for psychiatric treatment."

After being released from the hospital she was said to have weighed 150lbs. At her autopsy she only weighed 108lbs. In 17 days she lost 42lbs. Maybe Kristie Alley showed up to assist her with her rest and relaxation.

When they did finally decided to provide her with professional treatment they didn't take her to the nearest hospital which was only a few blocks away. They loaded her cockroach bitten,cadaver resembling body into a church van and took her to the 5th closest hospital...5th! Scientology's claims of innocence,I don't buy them for a minute. And anyone that does only proves P.T. Barnum's theory,"There's a sucker born every minute.

"The Evil Prince Xenu

The head of the Galactic Federation the being formerly know as,"Prince Xenu" ruled 76 planets around larger stars visible from here.Founding this federation 95,000,000 years ago.He begins to have an overpopulation (250 billion or so per planet) So he placed billions in cryostasis loading them jet powered ships resembling DC-8's, transported them across the galaxy to Teegeeack (Earth) and put an H-Bomb on the principal volcanoes in order to destroy these captives upon arrival. Well the freed souls of these captives once released from their bodies, were dispersed amongst the human inhabitants of this planets. Causing the fears and instabilities scientologist seek to cure, bringing peace and world harmony.Maybe we can learn from this prince and load our deathrow inmates and undesirables onto space shuttles and ship them accross the galaxay before we kill them. Now why would someone have problems believing this? It makes perfect sense.I'm sorry but this just sounds like a bad episode of the X-files.

Another fact scientologist fail to mention is, in 1977, Scientology offices on both coasts of the United States were raided by FBI agents seeking evidence of Operation Snow White, a church-run espionage network. Hubbard's wife Mary Sue and a dozen other senior Scientology officials were convicted in 1979 of conspiracy against the United States federal government, while Hubbard himself was named by federal prosecutors as an "unindicted co-conspirator." At this time the IRS also had evidence that he had skimmed millions of dollars from church accounts and secreted the funds to destinations overseas. Facing intense media interest and many subpoenas, he secretly retired to a ranch in tiny Creston, California, north of San Luis Obispo. Now this is the part that truly gets me.In 1997 this man gets street dedicated to him in Hollywood, "L.Ron Hubbard way". Only in America can a man that lived the last days of his life running from prosecution, get a street named after him. Comemorated on live television with politicians, and some of the richest actors, and performers in the world.

In Closing

I could go on about these people, and this so called religion, but i won't because the deeper I dig into this Pandora's box the more infected I'll become. This religion and it's gestapo tactics are the mirror image enacted by Jim Jones. He started off with seemingly pure intentions later showing his true colors.So I ask the world,"is it going to take the death of 913 people before we decide to hold these people accountable for their behavior?"

The Amazing Mr. X

Malcolm X was born in Omaha, Nebraska in 1925, originally named Malcolm Little. His childhood was one of great pain from the loss of family members,by the murderous hands of racial ignorance. These acts scarred his youth and molded him into greatness.
In his early adulthood Malcolm Little was known as a petty crook with a reputation for extreme violence.This lifestyle led him to prison and the future he was remembered for . Unlike the Spike Lee version of his life, he was introduced to Islam by his brother Reginald who described his personal experiences and practice of this religion in letters sent to him while still incarcerated. After reading these letters he began to study this Faith, after doing so he too converted, also corresponding with Elijah Muhammad.
After his conversion, the sir name he became famous for "X", was adopted, believed to symbolize the lost identity of the people of African descent that was forcibly brought to the Americas. And that his former name was one of a slave's, which he no longer was. It also stated that not only was his body free from slavery,also was his mind.These beliefs were thought to be arrogant and offensive by many that could not accept this declaration of identity.
Malcolm X quickly became a powerful man,whose strength was only equaled by his intelligence and passion for the right to life. This status gained him respect and recognition across the globe.Which earned him the kind of power possessed by world leaders. And like some world leaders, at times used this power with an intimidating arrogance. Which earned him envy from some and caused the pain of others. Malcolm X was later known to have said:
"I realized racism isn't just a black and white problem. It's brought bloodbaths to about every nation on earth at one time or another. Brother, remember the time that white college girl came into the restaurant — the one who wanted to help the [Black] Muslims and the whites get together — and I told her there wasn't a ghost of a chance and she went away crying? Well, I've lived to regret that incident."
Then there was a statement made about the death of President Kennedy. He stated that his death was just a case of chickens coming home to roost. And chickens coming home to roost never made him sad, this only made him glad. Saying this caused a tidal wave of anger felt by non-Muslim Americans, also causing Elijah Muhammad to question his ability to control the powerhouse Malcolm had become.
In March 8,1964 he formally announced his break from the nation of Islam creating the "Muslim Mosque inc." he soon began a world tour which not only expanded his beliefs in Islam, it instilled an affirmation for the plight of mankind and not just those of African descent. He no longer desired civil rights,this was no longer enough, Malcolm fought for human rights.
Upon his return his social evolution was nearly complete and at a speech in 1965 was remembered saying:
"Nobody can give you freedom.Nobody can give you equality or justice or anything.If you are a man you just take it"
Because of his earlier separation from the nation of Islam and these new found beliefs, he acquired new friends, and even more enemies. Yet he stood by them until his assignation on February 21,1965.

A Look Into The Sickness Called ...Homophobia.

Homophobia is defined as...the fear of, aversion to, or discrimination against homosexuality or homosexuals. Or hatred, hostility and disapproval of homosexual people, and their sexual behavior, or culture, and is generally used to insinuate bigotry.
On February 12th Lawrence King fell prey to the highest form of this worldwide disease. At the age of 15 his life was extinguished by the homophobic hands of a 14 year boy. This hate filled individual took a gun to E.O. Green junior high school, walks into to the computer lab where Lawrence was, and with the mindset of a serial killer, places the gun to his head and fires. This was not done by accident, retaliation to violence, protection, or fear for one's life. It was done out of hate and ignorance. An absolute violation of another human's right for expression and to exist. This act and others like it are the un-Godly spawn of a society's ignorance.
In North America alone, the U.S. Department of Justice has estimated out 1,472 sexually motivated hate crimes in 2006, 62% were anti-male homosexual related, and 13.7% were anti-female homosexual related. And what the bible thumping holy rollers in the U.S. congress; and their king, "president George W. Bush", fail to realize is, that their omnipotent expression of morality is just adding fuel to the flames of this social ignorance. These attempts to oppress their beliefs upon the homosexual community is a despicable violation of human rights, that will only have negative repercussions. When the leaders of a nation openly express their disapproval of another's choice of lifestyle, it's only going to make change that much more difficult. And horrific acts like the senseless shooting of Lawrence King occur more often.
Mason Davis, the executive director of the trans-gender law center was reported to have said,"Brandon McInerny ( the 14 yr old accused shooter) is just as much a victim as Lawrence." If found guilty he faces 52 yrs to life, because he will be tried as an adult. And until this trial, being held with a bail of $770,000 .
In my opinion the statement made by Mr. Davis, and others similar to it, are a ridiculously naive way of thinking. It is almost showing sympathy to the savage brutality of another. Yes...society needs an education on civil co-existence, stressing the tolerance for anothers right to happiness and self expression. As long as a person's behavior does not harm or hinder themselves, or another, it should be tolerated. Because this was a gift given to all, it is called, "free will"! When we continue to suppress these fundamental human rights, we will never acheive true enlightenment. We need to realize that there is only One true judge, and it is the same One that gave us the gift of life, and the only that can take it.

Televisions ongoing influence on the way we perceive the truth.

The Creation

The past 8 years, a television phenomenon known as C.S.I has evolve an into entity of legendary status. Since their conception these shows have known nothing but success. Gaining a cult following known by only a few.These shows appeal to our captivation, and disgust, with societies ongoing violent behavior. Creating a scenario for the horrific murder of beautiful victims. Whose deaths will be solved by an equally attractive group of investigators. These shows have added to the network dominance owned by CBS. And the way these crimes are so speedily solved is more like science fiction than science fact. But what else should you expect from 40-45 minutes of air time. Because I doubt the truth would provide the same level of entertainment.

Fact vs. Fiction

Isn't it amazing how on these episodes, that once the crime scene has been quarantined, how the pieces to the crime are assembled like a simple jigsaw puzzle. The officers with rubbers gloves on hands; cotton swabs gently wiping, and cameras flashing, while quickly bagging and tagging all needed evidence.Let's not forget the new technology awaiting them back at head quarters. The lab filled with wall-to-wall bottles of chemicals, with the guarantee detecting unseen residue. The ability to lift a fingerprint from anything. Or the instant delivery of a toxicology report, which in truth it can take up to several months for the production of an accurate result. Let's not forget the down to minute accuracy for time of death. Which in the real world is never that accurate.

Pros and Cons

Since their introduction these shows have cause a debate as to their effects on a jury's decision making. It is not 100% proven; but it is believed that because of the shows popularity, and their almost 100% reliance upon science to solve every crime, juries find themselves doubting their common sense. They are no longer relying on means, motive, and witness testimony. They are now expecting an officer in a white lab coat to come into the courtroom and provide them with irrevocable proof of a crime as seen on TV. Cases the courts would have easily won, have now been acquitted due to lack of evidence.Maybe this is bad because it is allowing the guilty to go unpunished. Or it might be good because it is forcing the prosecution to deeply evaluate their cases, by providing a more detailed proof of guilt.

There's a new sheriff in town

I must admit that I kinda like CSI Miami, mostly because of Horatio Caine. He's not your cliche Hollywood police chief. You know the ones I'm talking about. The right in your face, unnecessarily yelling at the top of their voices. Truthfully I could never really buy into that. Because the idea of a grown man; yelling at another man that's packing a loading gun, seems like an individual that's begging to be shot. I like Horatio because he portrays the soft spoken demander of respect. Anyone not paying him this respect, soon finds out that he's walking softly, but he's definitely carrying a big stick.

The Effect

The numbers of loyal watchers is astounding. The CSI-Las Vegas 2005 season finally, "Grave Danger", was directed by the film maker Quentin Tarantino. This one episode had 35 million viewers. Now if that's not pulp fiction I don't know what is.After the first season of CSI-Las Vegas the number of forensic science majors has significantly increased. Making it one of the more popular majors on many campuses. West Virginia University in 1999 had 4 graduates. In 2000 enrolled 400 new forensic science majors making it the largest major on campus. So maybe this show's unrealistic approach to crime fighting may do a little good.One thing's for sure, CBS has proven that in it's own way, crime does pay.

I have always saw Bob for what he was...a brilliant advertising ploy, which left me entertained with it's crude style of,"Saturday Night live" humor.

After watching these commercials I have always wanted to ask Enzyte a question. If Enzyte worked so well for Bob's pride, how come his swimming trunks came off in the pool? Not trying to sound crude, but things didn't quite add up, if you know what I mean.

"The Trials and Tribulations of the Women of Accra"

For almost two years I have been doing a study on the lives of the women of Accra, Ghana. What I encountered has undoubtedly altered my outlook on life forever. As much as I would like to believe the glass is half full, after these past twenty months of research I've found my cup a little emptier than before. Now I have always prided myself on not being naive, but I found myself truly appalled by some of the things I stumbled upon.Now I know life is difficult all over the world. And that many countries have resourceful and resilient women. But the women of Accra are definitely in the top ten when it comes to personal strength, and overall survival tactics.

Most of these women have little or no formal education. And usually find themselves working in the street markets selling food items. Their days may start at 4am ending at 9 or 10 pm. The reasons for such long days; are the amounts of food that need to be manually carted, because many bus operators will not allow these women on broad if their loads are too large. The ones lucky enough to get transportation may find themselves spending 40% of their earnings for this service.During this extremely difficult day, some may also find themselves attending to the needs of children, and guarding their merchandise from theft. Their day does not end at the market. When arriving home they are expected to perform domestic chores which include cooking; cleaning, and catering to the needs and desires of their husbands.

Because of the economy; many Ghanaians do not have the access to basic utilities such as gas; indoor plumbing, or electricity. So water for bathing and cooking has to be toted to their homes.In the cities jobs are very scarce. And what jobs they may find often come with a probationary period. Now this part is absolutely ludicrous. In most countries employment does come with a probationary period. Which after completion you are considered as an employee, and in most cases given a small raise for completion of training as an incentive to remain. In Accra many times there is a 30 day probationary period which by the way is without pay. So there are times on the 29Th day they are fired because their performance wasn't up to par; and some other person is hired, who most likely will also have inadequate growth potential for the position.

Being an attractive woman may help or hinder a woman's success for employment. I say it will help because it will probably get their foot in the door. But in order to keep their feet inside they may have to loose their shoes; along with everything else they are wearing, because the boss just might decide that sex is a part of the job description. So many women figure if they are required to have sex in order to make money; they might as well cut out the middle man, and seek prostitution as their means for a sufficient income. Tourist and married men prey on this desperation like vultures.

These women have what is called,"The Pretty Woman" complex. They believe that some rich tourist is going to come and marry them, rescuing them from their life of poverty. Many men know this, using this dream in order to receive sex for free, or next to nothing. So truthfully what they consider prostitution is pretty much what women are doing worldwide. Pimps are almost non-existent. They have what are called runners, which are just young boys that arrange these meetings, and receive compensation for their efforts. Money is rarely discussed during these dates. Customers decide what is adequate reimbursement for services provided. Similar to the tipping process provided after a meal in a restaurant. The better the service; the higher the tip, depending on customer generosity. I have read stories from English; and Dutch men bragging about their depraved escapades with women. If I could have found these men, I would be ringing their doorbells with bat in hand!

This choice of social studies all began with the rash of news reports about Ghanaian and Nigerian scam artist which made me curious as to why these acts were occurring so frequently. And also because of my natural belief of,"The Three Sides Theory". Which is one person's side; another ones side, and the truth. Well I did discover a third side. What the news media failed to mention was there are more dating scams coming out of the Ukraine than Accra or Nigeria. Mostly because of their access to personal computers. Most people in Accra only make about 4,298,400 cedi a year. That's about $450 . So they have to use Internet cafes for the price of about $1 or more an hour which limits there time on line.

But I must say... one good thing came from my research. I met my fiance who has become the love of my life; hero, and one of the strongest women I have ever known. She has taught me how to romantically love again in a way that I thought was no longer possible. Allowing me to be the man I always knew I could be.

Right to know vs. Need to know

The U.S. Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) is a law ensuring public access to U.S. government records. FOIA carries a presumption of disclosure; the burden is on the government - not the public - to substantiate why information may not be released. Upon written request, agencies of the United States government are required to disclose those records, unless they can be lawfully withheld from disclosure under one of nine specific exemptions in the FOIA. This right of access is ultimately enforceable in federal court.

Some see this as their right to the access of every piece of government documentation, and of it's past, and present doings.

This is clearly not the case, nor should it be. These records are affairs that in some circumstances... very case sensitive. And just because one feels as American citizen, if they want to know, they need to know.This is not true for so many reasons. Not only are a majority of these files a matter of national security, they also may involve the lives of many others besides the ones requesting certain information.

So just because some Star Trek or X-files fan, wishes to know the details, and see an assumed crashed u.f.o. it is their right to do so.

If all of these files were available to anyone placing a request for them, we would indeed be opening a Pandora's box that could never be closed. And in many cases violating the right to privacy.

I have realized that some things are bigger than myself. But do not get me wrong, I do believe that everyone should held accountable for their actions. And that some things involving a person or their loved ones need to be disclosed. I also believe in some situations you allow sleeping dogs to lie. Because some when awaken might bite you in the behind.

Lessons on life

There was an Indian Chief who had four sons. He wanted his sons to learn not to judge things too quickly. So separately he sent them on a quest, to look at a pear tree that was a great distance away. The first son went in the Winter, the second in the Spring, the third in Summer,
and the youngest son in the Fall. When all returned from their quest, he called them together to describe what they had seen. The first son said that the tree was ugly, bent, and twisted. The second son said, 'no', it was covered with green buds and full of promise. The third son disagreed, he said it was laden with blossoms that smelled so sweet and looked so beautiful. It was the most graceful thing he had ever seen. The last son disagreed with all of them; he said it was ripe and filled with fruit, full of life and fulfillment.

The man then explained to his sons that they were all right, because they had
each seen but only one season in the tree's life. He told them that you cannot judge a tree, or a person, by only one season. That a person's true essence comes from
life, and can only be measured at the end, when all the seasons are up. If you give up when it's Winter, you will miss the promise of Spring, the beauty of Summer, the fulfillment of Fall.

Moral: Don't let the pain of one season destroy the joy of all the rest. Don't judge life by one difficult season. Persevere through the difficult patches and better times are sure to come.

The multitude of publishing predators is overwhelmingly horrific! As a freelance journalist, I've been trying to market my work. So far what I have encountered is unnecessarily time consuming and insulting. Swimmers beware because the sharks are out there waiting for fresh meat.

There are many kinds of predators preying upon the innocence of the novice writer. There are the ones that use reverse psychology, warning you about scams. They'll project an aura of sympathy by warning you of get the rich quick schemes. Then share a heartfelt concern for your plight, offering you guidance, and a much needed support. Yeah they'll lend you a hand alright, all for the one time price of $19.99. Which by the way is for a limited time only.

Then there's the, "empathetic predator". There hook is how they've been where you are, and how much they understand how you feel, and what you are going through. But look at me now...and if you buy my book I will show you the ropes, and you could have a house on the beach next to mine!

And then there's what I like to call, "the page pimp". They will offer you $1 a page or less, and give you a lame budget report to justifying why they are urinating on work, and blaming the weather. But these pimps all justify their behavior by becoming meteorologist with the promise of sunny skies.

Then there are the ones that claim what little education you need and how anyone can do this. Not trying to sound like an elitist, but I would feel very uncomfortable signing with an agency that targets writers with the literary skills of a junior high school student, who's idea of great television is bad Japanese anime.

As a fellow novice freelancer I do understand how you feel. We as freelancers need to band together and fight this injustice. No...not anyone can do what we do, because if they could, they would. Do not allow these people to downsize the worth of your material. Your work is just as hard as any clock puncher's,only without the health care, and 401k plan. Many of you produce articles that are seriously raising the par. The crime is...that many of these agencies are offering writers bargain basement prices for a freelancer's work, then placing brand name advertising next to this material. Now there are link providers that are offering fair pay for quality work. I think I have found a couple. After a couple of months I will write a progress analysis.

They say you get what you pay for. Well it's up to the freelancer to make them pay us what we're worth.

"Just Say No To Gecko!"

As long as I have been watching television, there has been a commercial I have found to be mildly annoying,but Gieco insurance has seriously crossed that line. That gecko in their commercials stopped be clever after the first commercial. Now it's just another form of psychological torture. Every time I see this commercial I can feel my pulse beginning to rise. I change the channel and it's on that channel too. I put it on mute and I can hear it's voice coming through the walls!

Whenever a museum has an exhibit of the world's torture devices,that gieco gecko should be placed between the thumb screws, and the iron maiden. I do believe with all of my heart, that if Dante were alive today he would have added that gecko as a gatekeeper to one of his many levels of hell.
If there were only one insurance for liability, I would take my chances with the law and drive without it,than support that menace. I guess gieco figures if they subject us to this evil creature long enough we will all submit. It's voice...reminds me of a child's in the back seat of a car asking,"are we there yet?", while driving on a trip that will never end. So to all that agree, I think we should band together and say, "NO TO GECKO!"

The Embargo must go.

On February 7, 1962 the U.S.A. initiates a trade embargo against Cuba. The enforcing of this embargo began after the expropriation of lands belonging to U.S. citizens and private corporations. This embargo was started with the justification of, breaking the back of communism by not lending financial gain to the ones that needed it most,the working class of this country. These hard working men and women have been the pawns in a twisted chess game that has been going on for over forty years. This socially twisted manipulation of lives has been carried out by the over inflated egos of men that will not admit to the damage they are causing.

In 1992 this economic destruction of lives was coded into law as The Cuban Democracy act. Now that's an interesting choice of words Cuban Democracy act. I find it hard to believe that this nation's poor lined up to vote for the purpose of deny themselves added income, that would allow them a more comfortable way of life. Then in 1996 the Helms-Burton act further restricted U.S. citizens from doing business in or with Cuba. It also mandates restrictions on the public or private assistance to any succeeding regime unless certain policies are adhered to. President Bill Clinton added a clause ending 700 million dollars of subsidies for U.S. companies trading with Cuba.

The added revenue from trade with the U.S., would allow the majority of Cuba's impoverished to live a life that would not be considered third world. These people are sitting on some of the world's most fertile land, sixty miles away from one of the richest of countries. As much as I would love to have access to a good hand rolled Cohiba cigar, this is not my only reason for ending this charade. I call it that because it never was an embargo designed completely for the protection of the American people . I'm just calling it what it really is...a power play design to enforce beliefs by flexing muscles, and breaking the backs of the weak. The suffering of the innocent must end!

The walls of Russia have come crumbling down. The doors to China are swinging wide open. Kennedy has been gone along time now. And Castro's about to cash in his chips any day now. So that leaves me with this question...who's embargo is it anyway?

Once upon a time...

Once upon a time...during a December a long time ago, I can still remember how the slightest thought of the Christmas would make my heart skip a beat. But with every new year it seems as if Christmas changes more and more. I say this because with each year I begin to see the days preceeding December 25th as the commercial monster it has become,instead of what it should be...homage to the birth of Christ.

I am not trying to imply that way I celebrate Christmas is any better than anyone else's. But there is one thing about Christmas that still warms my heart in a special way. It is the half an hour spent watching the Charlie Brown Christmas. Seeing that sad little tree, hearing Schroeder playing "Linus and Lucy" on his piano. While Snoopy and the rest of the gang dances. But what makes the Charlie Brown Christmas an unchanging, and heartfelt part of my past is... hearing Linus explain the true meaning of Christmas. Everytime I hear this it touches me like the first time I heard it.
So in closing I have just one thing to say..."Merry Christmas Charlie Brown!"

There are times when I believe that the world just wants to be lost. I say this because we have taken something as simple as love,and turned it into one of the most complicated actions in our lives. Romantic love,between a significant other,should be a wonderful affair that grows with each moment, and gives you a sense of security and joy, that no other human could even come close to providing.
But like I was telling a friend, we have basically turned this simple act into something that is damn near twisted. When did we start needing background checks, and proof of identity, to even begin a relationship. It seems as if we live in a time where our mistrust and fear of being hurt, has hardened our emotions, and made something that should be so easy, so very hard.

Now don't get me wrong...I'm still a," glass is half full kinda guy". And there has been a few times that I've wished I wasn't such a romantic optimist. Because so many women have mistaken my kindness for weakness, ooooh were they wrong. When it comes to disrespect in that form I am a "one strike kinda guy". Because in my adult life I have believed that,"you can respect someone you don't love, but you can never truly love someone you don't respect".

I see it like this...anyone that would intentionally betray your trust,has committed,"1st degree romantic homicide". And living in Texas, I believe that relationship should get the death penalty. And believe me, I have carried out this sentence more times than I can even remember. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not some kind of romantic sadist. But in the past when a woman tried to abuse my love, I executed that union without remorse. Because remaining in a bad relationship, is kinda like being in a pool of romantic quicksand. The more you fight it, the quicker you sink.

Once you have dedicated your undying love to another, uncertainty should not be a consolation prize. Love and doubt, are like oil and water, they don't mix. Just look at it like this...the more room you provide for one, will mean less space for the other.

The Greatest American Hero

I know that what I am about to say is not something new,it's just not said enough. It seems as if society has a tendency to over idolize all of the wrong people,for all of the wrong reasons,excluding the true heros. This is just my opinion;but the true heros are the men and women that go to work on a daily basis supporting themselves, and others at jobs that offer little rewards, and meager pay. In my opinion, the single parent that raises children with little,or no support is a hero. The volunteer social worker at the city shelter that non-judgemetally offers hope and assistance.The police officer that has not forgotten they were hired to protect and serve,not bully or intimidate. The fireman that rushes into a burning building. And there are so many others.
What's sad is;so many especially our youth,would rather admire an athlete,singer, or movie star. To borrow the words of another,"It is easier for a rich man to get through the eye of a needle,than through the gates of heaven." Being monetarily wealthy does not impress me. In my mind the truly rich is one that gives unselfishly of themselves. Sometimes it seems as if we are a society that is setting itself up for failure, because we have forgotten what's honorable,and what is just hype.
